Very pleased with the quality but nothing is perfect these days. The central zipped pocket had a few loose ends of thread which could easily have jammed the zipper; a little bit of tying off and trimming soon solved that. Previous reviews mention that the belt is too long. I can see why the extra length is provided since it can easily be carried from the shoulder and across the chest. Probably, it's more suitable for the larger person; also people in wheelchairs might prefer wearing it in that way, being easier for them. In summary, I would say that it seems good value for the money. Only time will tell, but it won't get used every day.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Superb Gift, 1 May 2014

I bought this boxed compass as a coming of age gift for our 'scout' grandson. It arrived at my house in England, from India, well within the promised time. It had been packed with loving care, so I was assured that I had made a good purchase. The box is finished very well and the compass is everything the seller promised. It is a fine instrument, thus it feels right that I shall be presenting a fine gift. With good quality for the price, and delivery on target, what more could anyone ask?

No batteries, no gimmicks, works every time. Nobody's going to borrow this one, which is why I had to buy another one anyway.

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly relaxing., 29 April 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Having now played Haydn's Paris Symphonies a few times, I found the music to be typical in that each time I picked up on a phrase not previously noticed. No hesitation in recommending this recording, but without any technical lingo. Most relaxing but commands attention, typical of Haydn.

1.0 out of 5 stars SHORT WORKING LIFE, 15 April 2014
Having bought this one from a well known petrol station, I found that it was good for about six months. After that it became erratic. Battery replacement is not easy as it involves a strip down. Perhaps mine was a one off!

Originally I bought this set for our daughter because she was a child during their era. She didn't get it. Having had a busy life when the children were young, this style of music tended to escape my attention. Now that I'm retired I can appreciate how good Boney M were. I defy any listener to sit still when their music is in the air. Like all good works, their style is timeless and, half a century later, it ought to get more air time than it does.

Being an amateur listener of 'the classics' I've found that radio programs tend to play music within a limited selection. Perversely, my early pleasure from classical music was from works by Isao Tomita, created on a synthesiser, but then sought the original works. Occasionally, having heard piano music without orchestral accompaniment, I found that it can be quite delightful. Now I'm exploring beyond the world of Beethoven, Mozart and Debussy. I know no technical terms, but I know what I like. As for CDs in general, what beats the radio is not having to listen to all the 'ers and ums' from amateurs trying to sound professional with prepared scripts.

Having access to the natural delight of morning birdsong at any time within the twenty four hour day, the escape from stress is at hand. One wonders why such recordings get such little air time. What would complete the experience is the aroma of woodlands. Does anybody bottle it?
