2.0 out of 5 stars The end of chapter 9 is missing, 28 Dec 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Wen you buy a kindle book, you expect the whole thing, not part of the book, and an important part of the book to be missing.

5.0 out of 5 stars The only PC game i've enjoyed for more than 2 days at a time, 22 Oct 2008
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Caesar III (PC CD) (Video Game)
I'm not very into computing, but this game has to be the best game I've ever played on the computer. you get into it from the start, as the music and graphics really put you in the right mood the challenges are hard, and as i've only ever borrowed it from my friend i've not quite completed it all yet.

the price i've seen here i amazing,

i'd have bought it for 10-20 pounds, so getting it for 3 was brilliant :)

Intimacy [VINYL]
Intimacy [VINYL]

5.0 out of 5 stars possibly BETTER than silent alarm!!, 20 Oct 2008
This review is from: Intimacy [VINYL] (Vinyl)
exactly what the title says.

songs like ares, and ion square are absolutely astounding, and there are slower songs like biko.

this is the best album i've heard in a long time.

get it on physical copy. it'll be the best 8-15 pounds you've ever spent :)
x

Bloc Party E.P. [VINYL]
Bloc Party E.P. [VINYL]

4.0 out of 5 stars all the kids are staying fat, 28 Aug 2008
This review is from: Bloc Party E.P. [VINYL] (Vinyl)
great ep by bloc party here, the famous banquet and she's hearing voices (which is the original version, not the silent alarm version) obviously make you want to buy, but staying fat has to be the master piece of it all, the other songs compliment it perfectly, but surely this makes you sit up and listen

a must buy for any bloc party fans who've been there since the silent alarm days :)

5.0 out of 5 stars an Album to rave about :) (but not rave to), 28 Aug 2008
This review is from: We Were Here (Audio CD)
ok to start, I'll just begin by saying this guy KNOWS how to write music. and that everyone should stop saying that his music has anything to do with scrubs, even if it is on there, it's amazing in it's own right :)

every single song on this album is amazing. and every one is listeneable at all times of the day, when you're in all types of moods.

this guy is so good I am now into the habit of telling every new (and old) person i meet as soon as the conversation gets onto music.

every song drifts in and out perfectly, and the simple differences such as sundrenched world's violin, to the clicky drummy thing (can NOT think of a better description) on only you. winter is the perfect song to listen to when you can't get your mind off someone, although having said that everything'll be alright could do that too. Joshua's voice sets the tone of the album, and with his soothing guitar riffs, you'll soon be hooked. just don't say his music is to do with scrubs, cause it's amazing in it's own right :)

a buy for EVERYONE young, old, and weird

one of the best things i've heard. ever

Nobody Laughs Anymore
Nobody Laughs Anymore
Price: 13.99

5.0 out of 5 stars the best vinyl i have ever bought, 19 July 2008
This review is from: Nobody Laughs Anymore (Audio CD)
bought this as a vinyl, and it blew me away, literally.

it changed my perspective on music. it's possibly the best record i've ever bought, and the fact it was a red coloured vinyl :) just made it even cooler.

the lyrics, guitars, bass, drums... everything worked perfectly, and the two covers on the vinyl are done perfectly: capturing both the essence of the original songs, and showing a true interpretation in the style of the trouble.

this is one album i'd recommend to people into punk, and hardcore (true hardcore obviously) not that it's exactly either of those to me, but yeah

it's just a shame the trouble isn't around anymore :(

4.0 out of 5 stars awesome bargain, 19 July 2008
This review is from: Calling Vacation Home (Audio CD)
buying this in a record shop in central manchester for one pound, i didn't have too many expectations, but the album both shocked and amazed me.

'nor cal', and 'always evil ,always' are just two of an amazingly good album with just a very few minor bad points.

A Weekend In The City [VINYL]
A Weekend In The City [VINYL]

4.0 out of 5 stars A Weekend in the city, 19 July 2008
After being a major fan of bloc party for a considerable amount of years, I awaited the new album with much anticipation, and was not disappointed.

the two guitars working together to create a whirlwind of speed went perfectly with the lyrics, and the bass just added the extra .. oomph :)

obviously, like the last album the drums were the most amazing part.

whilst, in my opinion awitc wasn't quite as good as silent alarm, i still thought it was a great album, and is well worth buying- although the major downside is that it's not silent alarm, the upside is that it's still a great album.
