4.0 out of 5 stars I feel like a kick ass martial arts star!!!, 17 Aug. 2012
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This game is a lot of fun, you play as wei shen, an undercover cop who gets put through a lot.
This game is big, and by that I mean gameplay wise not just the area you get to free roam round, there are a load of side missions on top of your main story, and these are varied in what you do, there are even random encounter missions as you walk round, these are simlar tasks such as chasing down a bag snatcher or helping someone who has been locked in the boot of a nearby car.

The combat system is really easy to pick up and has a nice selection of upgrades which you get by collecting statues and taking them to your master at the dojo.

The cars handle great, this helps to make the street racing events, police chases and just driving in general a lot of fun.

The radio stations are very good, they aren't comedic like gta's selection are but it carries a more serious tone (just like this game does) and there are stations by some well known record labels and play a nice variety of genres.
The day and nightlife of hongkong sound so surreal, the sound effects used in this game from ambient back ground sounds to the way your car sounds as you start it up are first class, also the voice acting in this game is very good with a mixture of english and cantonese speaking with a few famous names appearing among the cast.

The graphics aren't the best I've seen on ps3, but are very impressive considering the scale of this game, most notable are the charcter models which look great.

The camera angles can sometimes get a little dicey in tight areas when fighting, but this happens rarely and also there is occasional pop up and texture problems when there is a lot going on.

I cannot reccomend this enough for overall fun factor, definately my favourite sandbox game of this generation, received my copy two days ago and haven't been able to put it down, well done square enix for rescuing this game when it was almost cancelled.

4.0 out of 5 stars Better then I expected., 21 May 2012
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Where should i start, after being let down by final fantasy xiii, i was a little put off from purchasing this game, it's not that final fantasy xiii was a bad game, it was just to linear for what I would expect of an RPG, next to no mini games, and very little in the way of controlling the customization of your characters abilities.

I didn't purchase final fantasy xiii-2 straight away due to these problems with the first, I recently took the plunge and purchased a copy and I was very pleasently suprised.

From the start off you have pretty much full control of the way your 2 human characters level the crystarium (for those that have not played final fantasy xiii, this is your way of leveling your characters jobs), there is no waiting till you have reached a certain part of the game before you can get certain skills, everything is open for the characters 1st 3 jobs from the beginning of the game, and the other jobs open pretty quickly; it is then your choice as to how you level the charcters.

The story is quite open in the way you can tackle certain things; meaning things don't have to be done in any particular order, and the linearity of the first game has gone and there are a lot of sidequests which help to add to the longevity of the game, there are also puzzles a casino and a collessium to visit in the game have various minigames available to start with, and the casino games and collesium combatents have been expanded via DLC.

The monsters (which are the 3rd party member) also provide a very fun bit of customization to your party, as you level the monsters, they gain abilities, you can then fuse this monster with another monster you have leveled, carrying abilities over from one creature to the next giving you a lot of freedom in the abilities you give your preferred monsters

Overall I have enjoyed this game a great deal and it feels much more of a complete game in regards of things to do compared to the first, and at the price it now retails at (£12) its great value for money.

If you enjoyed the visuals, charcters, story and paradigm battle system of the 1st final fantasy xiii game but thought it was just lacking that little something then you will probably enjoy this game, and at £12 (current amazon price) its an absolute bargain.

4.0 out of 5 stars Awesome, nuff said., 26 Oct. 2011
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
this game is great, is has an involving narative and great gameplay, I will however state this clearly, THIS GAME IS AN RPG, i have seen enough reviews on here moaning about the game play, that you get killed easily, that theres not enough ammo, that theres too much story blah. blah. blah...... do not go into this game thinking it is just a first person shooter along the lines of something like COD or killzone as you will probably be dissappointed, however if you want a tactical first person action game with open ended story, great atmosphere and plenty of options in the way you tackle objectives then you will probably enjoy this game.

I have never played the original deus ex so cannot compare this game to the original, but what i can say is that this game is an excellent action RPG, and at the price this game now retails at, you get great value for money when it comes to longetivity.

5.0 out of 5 stars PS3 Upgrade, 10 May 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This HDD is a great upgrade for PS3, especially if you own an older generation console that has lesser HDD sizes then todays model.

I've had this HDD installed in my PS3 now for about a year, I have never had any issues with it, and it has turned my 120gb slim into a great multimedia hub, that i store all my movies and music on now.

Great product and has done exactly what it says, couldn't reccomend more to any PS3 owner, recommend you back up your game saves before changing though and this can be done to a USB flash drive.

5.0 out of 5 stars great value for money, 5 Mar. 2008
i recently purchased this TV/Monitor and i must say i was supprisingly impressed, samsung have managed to make yet another peice of affordable yet highly technical TV, it has both DVI and 15sub vga pc connections, a hdmi, component and scart, has a 5ms response time which is very good for gaming, i have an xbox 360 via hdmi and pc via dvi connected to mine, both look astonishingly crisp, even though the resolution of the screen is only 1440x900, the 19" version of this range has the ability to run 1080p images @ 67.5khz and looks absolutely stunning running this, my only 1 problem i have with this TV is not the lack of freeview, it is due to it being a PC monitor it has a 16:10 aspect ratio rather then a 16:9, this is fine when running your pc at the native screen resolution but anything running through hdmi, component or scart will have a very thin border at the top and bottom of the screen, nothing major but it takes a while to adjust to this, all in all this is a superb screen that i can reccomend to anyone and at the price it is here on sale (i payed £249.99 for mine, not from amazon) it is a bargain not to be missed,

4.0 out of 5 stars want to know more, 22 Aug. 2006
i recently went out and bought this series shortly after watching it all round a friends house,(he had a downloaded copy of all episodes) the series is ok, but they could do well with introducing kaze soil system into games as it would make for a highly entertaining experience, if your after a series that is both action packed and entertaining this may be for you, my only problem was it all ended to abruptly, but then again so did the other series they made (star ocean ex) both were great series but could do with an additional 5 or so episodes just to tie up what loose ends they left in the story
