Want to dream off for a moment? This is the right CD for you. Listen more closely and you'll be woed by the beauty of the songs and the interpretation by Monica Shaka who regularly appears on the Paris Jazz scene. I believe this is her first CD and certainly hope many more will follow!

5.0 out of 5 stars "incontournable", 4 Oct. 2009
This review is from: Great People Decisions (Hardcover)
Ever felt unhappy in your job or got the feeling you hired the wrong person? This is one of the clearest, to-the-point books that I've read on the subject of hiring the right person for the right task. Arraoz presents the subject so clearly that even experienced people will benefit from the demystification. Describing many situations and aligning them with different skill-set requirements will be an eye-opener to many; as a company goes through different stages, the same job may require different qualities. Like many areas, HR is also entering the era of dynamics!
If you don't have the time to read dozen's of books on the subject and want to get a head-start; this book really is a good place to start.

Edition: Hardcover
Price: £47.00

4.0 out of 5 stars Makes you wish you could afford the real thing, 4 Oct. 2009
This review is from: Robert Parke-Harrison (Hardcover)
Too bad it isn't printed better to render all the finesse in Parke-Harrison's images. But even that can't detract from the beauty of this book and the reproduced works. Parke-Harrison's work reminds me of Teun Hocks' but remains more photographic - Beautiful!

The Origin Of Wealth: Evolution, Complexity, and the Radical Remaking of Economics
The Origin Of Wealth: Evolution, Complexity, and the Radical Remaking of Economics

Have you been frustrated with your economics classes like most people as soon as you learned the whole theory is based on "the consumer is rational and the consumer is consistent"? Well, in that case, this book is for you. And in case the predicament didn't raise your eyebrows, this may. We've been working with economic models that may have been an acceptable approximation in many situations but totally failed in others. Beinhocker documents his book very well and points out some of the fundamental flaws in the traditional models. By extension, similar behavior applies to business models.
