After attempting to knit two of the dogs I came to the conclusion that the book was compiled in a hurry without adequate proofreading as there are several mistakes. In a criticism of the page layouts, the use of Uppercase or Bold on yarn description would have made it easier to follow knitting instructions, as the font size and line spacing is hard to follow. The methods for the different loopy stitches could be clearer and dogs knitted using these stitches bear scant resemblance to the photos when made up, especially the Old English Sheepdog. Assembly instruction of all the dogs is minimal and confusing. The yarn to complete the poodle and Portuguese water dogs is now not obtainable as website is now defunct and some of the other yarns are now discontinued and thus hard to find. Despite all the above, I have knitted some of the dogs using substituted yarns and adapted the instructions to remedy the errors and the results haven't been too bad. This is not a book for the inexperienced knitter.
