5.0 out of 5 stars A Great return to form, 16 Jun. 2014

For years fans of Linkin Park were crying out for them to recreate something akin to their seminal first album Hybrid Theory and to a lesser extent the follow up Meteora.

The issue is that Linkin Park penned HT when they were 18 year olds full of angst and anger and that reflected in the music and as they have got older, their music has matured and changed as a result. I've been a fan of Linkin Park since the very beginning and have looked forward to the bands every release however was disappointed with Minutes to Midnight and the Recharged (Living Things remix album).

Living Things on the other hand showed that Linkin Park were heading in the right direction and now The Hunting Party arrives and all I can say is Wow....this album does not disappoint.

The sound is extremely guitar heavy and Chester's back in full form screaming his way through songs and Mike Shinoda's rapping is as slick as always with razor sharp delivery. All the songs are amazing from the in your face punk sounding Keys To The Kingdom, the sublime yet amazingly catchy All For Nothing (feat Page Hamilton) who delivers an excellent chorus backed up by Chester Bennington to Rebellion (feat Daron Malakian from System of A Down) which is an superb nod to System of A Down and takes you back to when System of A Down were a force to be reckoned with.

Not a single track is a disappointment and that includes the instrumentals on the album.

Those fans out there crying out for years for Linkin Park to go back to their old sound...you have your wish....Linkin Park have delivered and then some...but with a fresher, harder sound that will be hard to beat in 2014.

Well done Linkin Park you've created an album that I can't stop listening to and is very close to my all time favourite album Reanimation.

3.0 out of 5 stars The best Android Phone out there at the moment however flawed by QC issues, 30 April 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I've had the pleasure to own quite literally every single high end flagship Android device over the past few years and the HTC One M8 is up there. It's extremely quick almost on par with the Google Nexus 5 and Sense 6 is the best iteration yet by HTC, it's light enough and doesn't have much bloatware unlike the bloat heavy Touchwiz skin that Samsung use on their phones.

Sense 6 looks great and behaves in a very fluid manner and the phone is a joy to use, although ergonomically it is slightly tall and the HTC logo strip at the bottom of the screen is a design quirk that takes getting used to.

The screen tech that HTC have deployed in this years version is as good as usual although not as many PPI's as its predecessor but that's due to the screen size being increased to 5 inches.

The sound quality from the HTC One M8 is the best I've ever heard and that's via its boomsound speakers and headphones, the sound is rich in quality and music has never sounded so good.

Battery life is above average and can almost go toe to toe with the battery king of non phablet style phones the LG G2.

This is where all the goodness ends HTC are pushing their premium design and build to the masses, however I'm very sad to say that the HTC One M8 is plagued with build quality issues much like its predecessor.

HTC have next to little or no QC during the production process and I've had four replacements all of which have either come with scratches, raised speaker grilles, wonky screens / dead pixels, wobbly power / volume buttons and a handset with a defective battery which would eat through it in no time.

When paying well over £530 I expect the product to reflect such an expensive outlay and after four exchanges I gave up on the phone. HTC need to seriously look at their quality control during the manufacturing process, I would highly recommend this phone but for the QC issues that plague it I'm hard pushed to recommend it to anyone seeing as it's so expensive anyway.

Nice try HTC but with upcoming phones like the LG G3 and the recently released OneplusOne phone (the latter can be had for £350) once the invite system ceases and is available to general public in mid June, you won't be King of the Android hill for long.

1.0 out of 5 stars Terrible - I never thought I'd say this about Linkin Park, 29 Oct. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Recharged (Audio CD)
I've been an avid Linkin Park fan ever since Hybrid Theory and pretty much bought everything they've done religiously without hesitation even their side projects such as Fort Minor, Dead By Sunrise. I've pretty much grown with the band as their music evolved and changed to what it has become with the latest studio album (Living Things).

Reanimation their first remix album based on songs from Hybrid Theory was superb, in fact it became my favourite album by the band.

So I was hoping that Recharged would follow in the same footsteps, imagine my horror when I was met by some unimaginable mish mash of dub step and drum and bass with a few Linkin Park vocals thrown in just for the hell of it.

This release is awful and marks a low in Linkin Park's history - if you're into the Dub step genre you might like these songs, but if you're pretty much into Linkin Park and what they usually represent stay well clear of this album.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not exactly Yellow, closer to Orange, 8 Jun. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I have the Slate version of this case which compliments the Black S4 very well and is a very sleek and well made case. So I decided to go for the Revention Yellow just to make the S4 a little adventurous looking.

I was disappointed when I took delivery of the case, as the Yellow didn't exactly match the colour depicted in the pictures and was much closer to orange which annoyed me a little.

However what added further annoyance was that the top edges of the case were lifted slightly and when the S4 was fitted in the case the phone's bezel showed a little. This issue isn't evident in the slate case that I own.

Sent back to Amazon for a refund.

1.0 out of 5 stars Change is good but not necessarily in this case, 24 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I was really looking forward to this album especially having heard the lead single 'Up In The Air.' Well that's about as good as it gets because the rest of the album goes downhill from there at an alarming rate.

If you're hoping for the old 30 Seconds To Mars sound you're better off sticking to previous albums and give this album a huge wide berth. Very disappointing in all respects and only gets 1 star solely for Up In The Air and Birth.

5.0 out of 5 stars Top Notch Screen Protector, 18 April 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is easily hands down the best screen protector you can buy for your HTC One. It was so easy to apply and once it's on you can't even tell that it's there. That's how amazing it is!

You encounter very little drag when you swipe along the screen and the screen protector does not detract from the eye popping detail of the HTC One screen.

I ordered the screen protector late on Thursday evening and it was delivered to my door Friday morning (what a pleasant surprise!)

Lastly I have to give major kudos to MediaDevil's customer service team who are very friendly and extremely helpful, with quality products that they offer, super fast delivery and excellent customer service, this company is going places. I highly recommend their screen protectors whatever phone you have.

An excellent product! This company will go from strength to strength if they continue to produce quality screen protectors like this!

Whatever phone I'll have in the future, I will make a beeline for MediaDevil's screen protector first that's if they produce a protector for that particular phone.

Keep up the great work!

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not fit, 22 Oct. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
These screen protectors do not fit and are a waste of money. I have never seen such a poorly sized screen protector and I have used quite a few.

The dimensions are completely wrong to the point if you try and line up the cut outs to the Samsung Galaxy S3 you will be hard pressed to fit the screen protector properly.

Look elsewhere and save yourselves the money.

3.0 out of 5 stars Average Season, 23 Jun. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
So this is the end of a highly enjoyable show which kept me entertained for years. The Brotherly love between the main characters was awesome and the script writing was sharp and witty. Shame that for the final season some of the elements that kept me hooked disappeared. Still worth watching though.

A word of warning the first box set I received from Amazon was defective. The second disc had not been secured and was loose within the case. During transit the DVD ended up with scratches on the underside. Amazon were good as usual and sent out a replacement which unfortunately suffered the same fate as the original order. I've had to return the replacement and have initiated a refund. Be sure to check your box set when it arrives and if the DVD is loose make sure you check the disc for scratches!

Overall 3 stars for the show which ended on a mediocre note and my disappointment in receiving two damaged box sets from Amazon.

1.0 out of 5 stars Great Quality HOWEVER..., 1 Dec. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This screen protector is extremely well made and is of good quality, however there's a massive problem. It doesn't fit and is approximately 1cm short in length!

I would seriously advise to stay clear of this until the company sort out the sizing problem.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great battery! Just keeps on going!, 2 Oct. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I'm a little dubious about using batteries that are are supplied by other manufacturers as they are usually very cheap and poorly made.

However the Anker battery blew all my misconceptions out the water. The first thing you notice how well made it is, and looks like a high quality product and not like it's cheap counterparts.

I really haven't had problems with the original Samsung Galaxy S2 battery however being a mid to heavy user I needed a battery with extra capacity just to be on the safe side.

First of all the Anker battery fits very well and other owners will be pleased to know that it does not interfere with the cases that you use. The back cover of the Samsung Galaxy S2 fits as usual, enabling users to fit their case with no issues, unlike the official Samsung Galaxy S2 extended battery which costs three times as much!

Peformance wise, the battery certainly delivers, I put it through it's paces with heavier than usual 3G browsing and playing MP3's encoded at a high bit rate of 320 kps. I am pleased to say that from switching the phone on from 0600 hours and getting home at 2000 hours there was 53% battery left, which is extremely impressive!

For those looking for a replacement battery or even a higher capacity battery look no further than the Anker battery for the price and the performance it certainly delivers!
