4.0 out of 5 stars A Fun Great 3D Jawsome Night, 4 Jun. 2012
This film just like pirana should not be taken seriously the 3D is great and has excellent special effects and has really good suspensefull moments it is not comedy inclined like pirana. the acting is so so but with sharks eating the majority of them you can overlook this ;-). the story is basic but keeps you entertained the whole way through. all in all defently worth the ten pounds to own this underrated little shark thriller in 3D.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent 3D Sci-Fi, 4 Jun. 2012
A well written and acted sci fi about an alien entity invasion includes some australian actors as well. The story and special effects are awesome with great 3D depth. The most important thing is to ignore the brain dead crap reviews of this film. This film is a solid story of survival and fighting for the human race. This film is defently worth owning on blu-ray 3D. Buy it watch it and enjoy it :-)

3.0 out of 5 stars Escape New York [Blu-Ray] ?, 19 Feb. 2012
Well its official Optimum Home Entertainment are just flat out ripping people off there cash by sticking a what could only be called as a dvd quality product in a blu ray case with a blu ray sticker and releasing an uncompressed version of the film. Amazon need to to stop selling blu ray's from this provider.

Stay clear of any blu rays released by this company.

As for Escape From New York itself it was an ok film nothing flash especially by todays standards not that much action and all in all a pretty pointless film, hard to believe the masterpiece The Thing was released a year after this film by John Carpenter.

3.0 out of 5 stars The Decent Part II [Blu-Ray] Review, 17 Feb. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: The Descent 2 [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
The Decent did not need to have a sequel and in fact as much as i enjoyed The Decent Part II compared to the original it felt rushed and lacked the integrity that made the first film so great, plus the fact the characters in the film are complete nobodys to us except for the 1 or 2 survivors from the original the sheriff was annoying and each scene felt like all it was doing was being set up to show the individual comming to his or her demise without the suspense, tension, and scares that made the first film so great.

75% less scary, suspensefull, clostrophobic,
25% more gore

And mostly an American Cast which gave the film a feel of a trashy hollywood horror film cash in.

When all is said and done i make it sound bad right ? the film itself had alot of flaws but the story and anticipation of seeing what happens next will keep you interested and still is a decent horror film compared to most.

The quality you can expect from this blu ray

The Decent 5.5/10
Blu Ray Quality 8/10
Blu-Ray Sound 8/10

Defently goes nicely with the original just dont expect the extreme impact the first film gave you, and luckily for us all there will be no room for any further continuation of the series.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Decent [Blu-Ray] Review, 17 Feb. 2012
An awesome breath of refreshing air in the horror film industry, without giving to much away this film will scare the pants off you, if you watch it at night and have a great surround sound system to back up the awesome blu ray quality this film has to offer.

As the film is mostly set in the dark, and as humans we do not fear what we can see, its what we can't see and the unknown that scares the crap out of us. The film constantly has you biting your nails in anticipation of what will happen next and you will be rooting for us the whole way. It was perfectly filmed and you feel for the main characters because they are givin pretty good depth in the story leading up to The Decent into the caves.

A list of quality you will expect by buying this film.

The Decent 8/10
Blu Ray Quality 8/10
Blu Ray Sound 8/10

This film is a defently worth the watch and defently one for the collectors shelf, buy it you most defantly will not be dissapointed.

4.0 out of 5 stars FEAST [Blu-Ray] Review, 17 Feb. 2012

This review is from: Feast [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
A violent and gruesome combination of horror with some really horrible monsters to boot. mixed in with off the cuff comedy this film is a gorefest fun time at the local bar in the middle of mexico. If you take this film seriously you need to have your head examined. Sit back and enjoy the ride as it is not really scary but gives you thrills every step of the way.

The Blu-Ray itself has a few flaws mostly in the fact that the film quality is a cheap upgrade to blu ray a simple uncompressed conversion to full hd, and the fact it is not the Unrated version which incorperates approx 10 minutes back into the film including more gore then you can imagine.

Feast 6/10
Blu Ray Quality 5/10
Blu Ray Sound 7/10

Pretty plain and simple if you love dark comedy, and horror flicks you will love this film.

We all know The Thing, but the blu-ray version is immaculate and amazing alot of love and care was put into restoring this film into quality aspects you would expect to have just rolled off a new 70mm camera. The Film as it stands with the blu-ray release is now a masterpiece. Ill just write down the quality aspects you can expect from this blu-ray when you buy it.

The Thing 10/10
The Blu-Ray Quality 10/10
The Blu-Ray Sound 10/10

I need say anymore about this film just buy it, watch it and love it and you will be amazed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Scary Movie 2 [Blu-Ray] Review, 12 Feb. 2012
This review is from: Scary Movie 2 [Blu-ray] (Blu-ray)
The Sequel to the awesome Scary Movie film will not dissapoint and has quite a lot of funny moments, the waynes brothers deliver a enjoyable film spoofing horror films, the film was recieved with mixed views due to the fact there was some scenes in the film that were considered "distastefull or "over the top" making it not so funny but on the whole the film has a lot of laughs to be had if you can overlook those couple of scenes.

Scary Movie 3 & 4 were flogging a dead horse and milking the cash cow and were not made by the waynes brothers due to the only mild success of this film. The first 2 were the highlights of the series. (Anna Faris) Cindy Campbell is portrayed as a dumb blonde in all 4 of the films and is funny as hell regardless of the stupid non sensical plots that insue in these films.

Personally i found the film very funny if your someone with a twisted sense of humor this film will defently be your cup of tea and that with the likes of a high defenition Blu-Ray upgrade what more could you ask for ?

Rating For The Series

Scary Movie *****
Scary Movie 2 ****
Scary Movie 3 ***.5
Scary Movie 4 **.5

5.0 out of 5 stars The Hills Have Eyes Unrated [Blu-Ray] Review, 31 Jan. 2012
Wes Craven produces this fantastic remake which is hands down his best film remake to date the 2nd best being The Last House On The Left.

The film is brutal, extremely violent and realistic and disturbing on so many levels, but dont let that turn you away the amount of truth involved with the genitical mutation from the nucular tests is real and babies were born hidiously deformed mentally and physically, whether they go around doing the things portrayed in this film its highly unlikely.

The acting in this film is first class and there portrayals of the characters as such are done brilliantly, the story brings forth alot of emotional scenes that are as disturbing as they are brilliant and make you feel what this family felt, the feeling of disbelief that something this horrific could happen to them.

Overview Of The Plot:

The Carters, an idyllic American family travelling through the great American southwest. But their trip takes a persuaded detour into an area closed off from the public, but more importantly from society. An area originally used by the U.S. Government for nuclear testing that was intended to be empty...or so they thought? When the Carter's car breaks down at the old site, they're stranded...or are they? As the Carters may soon realize that what seemed like a car casually breaking down, might actually be a trap. This trap might be perpetrated by the inhabitants of the site who aren't pulling a prank, but are out to set up a gruesome massacre and to feed on the flesh of their loved ones.

The film shows great strength and courage from those who refuse to give up on life and you will be rooting for the good guys.

In the end there is no way i can describe the events that take place in this film as vividly as it would be for you to watch it yourself all i can tell you is how well written, directed, and acted this film is, and say if you have held of seeing this film or have seen it and dont own it unrated on blu-ray then do yourself a favour and buy this film and watch it you will be horrified and disgusted but you will defently not be dissapointed !!!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Dark Knight [Blu-Ray] Review, 30 Jan. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The Dark Knight is exactly what hollywood has been missing until a film of this magnitude was released, with the amount of half arsed, money making, greedy film companies taking your hard earned money for over hyped rubbish, you don't see many films that really were written and made with such passion as this film is, and it delivers for the people. Everyone involved had worked there arse off to make a masterpiece like this film and the final outcome prooves that beyond a doubpt. Most of the writers, producers, and filmers biggest example is steven speilberg abuse there name with the trash they have delivered to us in recent years.

Christopher Nolan is a brilliant story teller and producer of films and makes sure he delivers the most brilliant story, picture and sound he can possibly deliver to people. As we will see him do this year when The Dark Knight Rises is released and will conclude a brilliant Batman trilogy.

Heath Ledger won an academy award for his role as "Joker" in The Dark Knight ledger is amazing, brilliant, scary, and to be honest an academy award is not enough recognition for a performance of that caliber, so many actors/actresses spew out the same characteristics in every single film they appear in and get to call themselves actors movie after movie and get paid ridiculous amounts of money to do so.

The Dark Knight is the most awesome, action packed, twisted adventure, you can ever hope to see, and the most well written and acted film i have seen hollywood release, in a long time.

A short overview of the film:
Batman (Bruce Wayne) raises the stakes in his war on crime. With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to distroy the remaining criminal organizations that corrupt the police, lawyers, and which also plague and terrorise the city's streets. The partnership proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a reign of chaos unleashed by a rising criminal mastermind known to the terrified citizens of Gotham as "The Joker".

This film is hands down the way batman and was always ment to be envisioned and portrayed, and is defently one of the top 10 films to see before you die. If you have not seen this film then do yourself a favour and buy it on Blu-Ray watch it and be amazed at how trully brilliant this film is.

The action scenes where shot in IMAX (the best picture quality available) and all other scenes are shot in 70mm lens (2nd best picture quality available) making this a brilliant film to watch and enjoy in the most crisp high definition experiance on BLU-RAY, mix that with Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound and your in for one hell of a treat.
