5.0 out of 5 stars An enjoyable Bank Holiday read, 31 Aug. 2015

There’s a gentle determination to Arsh Ellahi that shows in his writing. Well known in property circles this is a candid and personal account of a decade of ups and downs in the property market. The book is an accessible and enjoyable read. Sure, a touch simplistic at times but it isn’t trying to be a textbook, more an educative memoir. The initial boom and bust are dealt with fairly succinctly and the majority of the book is made up of his strategies and experiences of the “back again”. Businesswise he has been through a lot and is a better man for it. Lucky that readers of this book have a chance to learn from his experiences – both the ups and the downs. Plenty of short chapters, each prefaced with their own inspirational quote from the great and the good. An enjoyable read.

1.0 out of 5 stars Two units both DOA, 26 Oct. 2013

Unlikely as it sounds, both these power supplies were dead on arrival. Took them around to a local computer repair place to get them to verify I wasn't going mad. No dice. I'm sending them back and the off the shelf ones I bought to replace these are working fine. Something isn't right here.

1.0 out of 5 stars Cheap, flimsy, awful, 18 Jan. 2013

You get what you pay for I suppose. It looks the part but that's it. It's loose, the plug has play in it and there's often a buzz & crackle when connecting with it, other leads are fine so I think I'll just buy a better one.

4.0 out of 5 stars No cheating!, 3 Sept. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This works and is pretty sturdy. The reason I got it is that it's very consistent with the measuring tension - which means no cheating. Well, little cheating - if you suck your tummy in you'll fool it, but then you're only cheating yourself aren't you? Good on waists, hips and necks. God knows how the muscles on the packaging manages to use it to measure his bicep - the "catch" to hold the other end of the tape it a bit fiddly and I can't get it into place one handed. The tape does both inches and centimetres but is very inches biased - the inches scale is about 3x the size of the centimetre one. I'm happy with that but decimal devotees may not be.
All in all a good body measuring tape, but it won't replace a good household one for non human measuring.

1.0 out of 5 stars Cheap, rubbish components inside, 7 Jun. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This thing looks like the business when it comes out of the box. Strong, sturdy, feels like a great piece of kit. Well, they spent all the money on appearances. Inside it is full of cheap, low endurance components.
My beef was with the air pump. Not only is it completely asthmatic and pumps slower than anything else I've ever used but after about 10 minutes total use it broke. A look inside showed how bad the damage was. Not a minor failing, but the whole crank / spindle had split in half and shattered. Un-repairable. All down to cheap, soft iron components that were never going to last the distance. A real disappointment. Avoid.

3.0 out of 5 stars Needs user maintenance, 24 April 2012

Ok first thing to note - this will never make it to family heirloom status. The cats love it but my biggest gripe with this thing (as noted by others) is that if you just use it as-is the thing is kaput within a year. Limescale etc. clogs the motor and it burns out.
I need to take the motor housing apart and clean the impeller with a wooden skewer every month or so but it's not a difficult task. Worth buying the protective mat as it is easy to spill water when you've refilled the dome and are putting everything back.
The sound of it gurgling when it is running low on water will drive you mental, but as a fresh water resource that will last a few days it is worth having. I am on fountain number 3 now, but cheap enough to replace easily.
Just on the subject of keeping it clean. After diligently cleaning and generally treating the thing like a ming vase for the first few months, I just found that whacking it in the dishwasher (take off the pump and open the dome) did an admirable job with no observable ill effects. I'm sure it doesn't call itself dishwasher safe, bit it was.

5.0 out of 5 stars Robust and reliable, 8 April 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought one of these to create a home office network (wired works so much faster than wireless...) and am now buying a second as my networking needs expand. 5 ports - but remember you'll use one to join the rest of your network. It's a great little box - 5/5. Works exactly as promised. Lifetime warranty from Netgear (which I had needed on a different product a few years ago - so they do honour it) gives great reassurance. Extremely simple to install - very much plug and play. I would suggest you don't install this in your eyeline as the flashing LEDs are bright and potentially distracting. Simple screw mount means wall or under a desk is easy. Make sure it has some ventilation - passive cooling only.
