The cartridge was fine in terms of the quality of print, but it didn't seem to last as long as previous purchases or refills.

This review is from: Lenten Sundays (Kindle Edition)
Commentary of the Sunday Gospel perhaps too long if one has already read it, but the reflections are good and of an approprite length.

2.0 out of 5 stars Amazon website confusion, 9 May 2014

I looked to buy HP27, but on entering this on the Amazon site, there was included an HP21 amongst several HP27s. I didn't noice this when ordering. Amazon's fault, not the supplier.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very comprehensive, 12 April 2013

This book gives a clear understanding of the beliefs and practices of catholics. Robert Barron explains how the beliefs of catholics are rooted in the life and teachings of Jesus by drawing on instances from the gospels. There is particular reference to the Incarnation and the meaning of the Eucharist, the mystery of the church's sacrament and worship. The importance of Mary, Peter and Paul is also developed. Tha author uses places from biblical times , churches and more recent places of pilgrimage to illustrate much of what he tells us. Most of the language and terminology is straightforward although a few passages of theological reasoning are more difficult to follow. The ebook edition has a number of video enhancements which illustrate some of his discussions. The book will enhance the faith and understanding of the church's teachings for catholics and give an excellent explanation of catholicism to people of other faiths or none.

Green is the Colour: The Story of Irish Football
Green is the Colour: The Story of Irish Football
by Peter Byrne
Edition: Paperback
Price: £12.74

4.0 out of 5 stars The Irish Question seen through the History of Irish Soccer., 25 July 2012

There is a lot of soccer politics in this book, sometimes but not always, mirroring the politics of Home Rule, separation of North and South and the establishment of the Irish Republic. But the politics is interestingly intertwined with the story of the development of Irish soccer, first as an All Ireland movement, then, inevitably as separate organisations after the border was established. There are many interesting stories of the "battles" between Dublin and Belfast teams, international matches and the World Cup exploits of both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. There are, too, stories of heroes off the pitch who fought for the success of Irish Soccer, as well as those on the pitch from 1880 up to the 2012 Euro Finals. A very interesting book told chronologically from the inception of the Irish Football Association, then subsequently the Football Association of Ireland, to the present day.
