4.0 out of 5 stars A couple of caveats but basically great, 8 Jan 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
First the good points. I love these tins for their size and old-fashioned simplicity. I grease the pan with olive oil. I use a kilo of flour in each loaf and it never spills over the top. After about ten minutes out of the oven, the loaf slips from the tin without too much effort and without damage. I have not tried washing up the tin straight away but it is easily cleaned after a brief soak in water.

Now the caveats. Unlike the small non-stick tins I had used before, the ends of these tins are made from separate pieces of metal with the sides folded around them. This has the following effects. First, if the tin has been oiled, some oil is likely to leak out. (This does not seem to make the loaf stick in the tin, but it can cause a little mess before and during baking.) Second, the dough that gets caught in the folds during baking tends to escape the washing-up cloth and requires a brush or a blade. Neither thing is critical to me, but good to know when making the switch from sealed tins.

One more thing, which is more about me than the product. After making the mistake of turning the temperature to 220C while testing the first tin (which seemed to burn the oil around the rim), I am now back to a more usual 180C with no sign of burning.

2.0 out of 5 stars Didn’t work with my Studiologic SL-880, 19 Sep 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
According to the instructions, this device needs to be plugged into both an output and an input socket in order to function. My keyboard only has outputs. Anyway, it didn’t work; occasionally a note or two would end up at its destination, but so did a lot of noise (MIDI signals of unknown origin). And so I paid about 20 quid for a miditech MIDIFACE II THRU 1x1, which seems to handle all the fast notes I have thrown at it so far, though I did not think to try very large chords. But it should be sufficient for my needs, which is a relief, because there wasn’t exactly a wealth of information online when I researched it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Zero defects, 22 Jan 2011
My old CRT monitor went south last year. It still works, but for image processing it just isn't good enough. And so I bought this cable, to connect my still-working PC to my Panasonic Viera. The picture is great. As far as I can tell, this cable works perfectly.

3.0 out of 5 stars Disc 2 not what I expected, 27 Nov 2010
While disc 1 is full of the spunky, folksy close-harmony I was hoping for (performed by Bilyana Vocal Group, Trio Bulgarka and the like), disc 2 is full of rather less energetic church music performed by Armsmusica Schoumen Chamber Music Collegium. It does not seem to belong under this Mystère title.

A lot of other discs are available with similar titles - Le Mystere Des Voix Bulgares Vol.1, Le Mystere Des Voix Bulgares Vol.2, Le Mystere Des Voix Bulgares 3. The tracks on disc 1 of this item appear to be different from the others. These titles include "Svatha", "Ah, Kolko Oidoh, Maro" and "Gel Vido, Gel Nedo".

If you like the sound of disc 1 (or even disc 2), then don't be afraid to buy this box set. But don't expect one disc to sound like the other.

2.0 out of 5 stars a flaky interface, 6 Mar 2010
having been foolish enough to buy a 3 Port SATA + 1 IDE PCI Card ATA RAID Controller VIA Chipset PC as an interface for a Western Digital Caviar Blue 500GB SATAII 16MB Cache 3.5 inch Internal Hard Drive OEM in linux (the sata controller featuring a chipset not in western digital's compatibility summary), i then purchased a Belkin Belkin USB 2.0 Hi-Speed 5-Port PCI Card and this item; the result was very much the same as with the sata controller; it transfered data too slowly for movie playback, and would cause system freezes in both linux and windows 2000, especially when trying to access two files concurrently; i eventually found a satisfactory solution; transfer rates are now high; it is an equally inexpensive item with a sil3114 chipset; that chipset appears in western digital's compatibility summary; i wish i had read that before buying anything; but my premature purchases were not a total tragedy; i had wanted the usb 2 interface anyway
