SwitchEasy NUDE Plastic Case for iPhone 5 - Purple
SwitchEasy NUDE Plastic Case for iPhone 5 - Purple
Offered by total digital stores

3.0 out of 5 stars Good but not great, 5 Jun 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This case is really unobtrusive which is good but it's definitely more about protecting from scratches than falls.

Front and rear screen protectors are included but these proved fiddly to get on - and I'm finding they are rising up slightly at the edges. They are well-cut out though in terms of microphone/home button slots.

The case doesn't protect the bezel at the bottom of the iPhone - and it's flush with the top of the phone so I suspect there's a likelihood that dust will end up down the side - between case and phone.

However, I bought this as a temporary cover at 25% of RRP. I'm not sure I'd pay more than 10 for it though.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good value gloves for sailing., 5 Jun 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I've only worn them on a couple of sailing trips so far but they are standing up well to getting wet/dried out/wet again - and staying reasonably supple.

Sizing seems reasonable. I do have relatively small hands (petite woman) and a small size fits perfectly. The fingers are a good length - coming just to the second knuckle - which give good protection when working with ropes but still allowing the fingers more dexterity.

They don't repel water and will get wet but, while they're not windproof, I do find that they give just enough protection to my hands that I don't get chilled too quickly. They can take some time to dry out if you don't have a stiff breeze or lots of sunshine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent mitts, 5 Jun 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
These must be reasonably small made since, as a woman with relatively small hands, I bought a medium and they fit comfortably.
They have a good amount of padding - not so much that it, in itself, interferes - but enough to cushion slightly.

Two particularly useful features are the towelling section on the back, which is a good size and soft, and the little loops between some of the fingers to help you get them off again.

Particularly good value at half the RRP. I've been wearing for a month and they still look like new - not sure yet how they'll stand up to multiple washes and being caught out in all weathers.

5.0 out of 5 stars Consistently challenging, 5 Jun 2013

This series of books are consistently challenging. The early ones can sometimes be done very quickly if your brain workings are similar to the compiler. A pencil with eraser is definitely required for this one!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great but be wary if you don't have stick-insect legs., 7 May 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
These give a great shape and are more tailored that most 'sporty' trousers. The stretch in them makes it easy to clamber over things and bend over. Fit-wise, they are true to size (or perhaps even a little generous) if you are straight hipped. I'm guessing that if you are more pear-shaped, you might want to go up a size. If you're taller than 158cm, you might find the short size a little too short.

The fabric is reasonably thin but it gives some protection from the wind, wipes clean quite well and dries very fast.

BUT, AllyJ is right. They're not great (at least in the shorter size)if you've got legs with a bit of muscle. The trousers above/below the zip fit perfectly but where the zip lies is tight - and doesn't really loosen off after wearing. They're not unwearable but they'd be a lot more comfortable with an extra cm or so of zip in them!

Perhaps unlucky but this cable is a dud. It doesn't transfer data or charge despite trying in various USB ports.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really cleverly done..., 22 Jan 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
These are fabulous - I bought as a gift and then added them to my wishlist since they looked so good.

The packaging makes them look as if they're on an iPhone screen and the app icons are pretty true to life. Each magnet is about 2cm square and while they're not super-magnets, they'll hold up photos on the fridge without much trouble.

5.0 out of 5 stars So refreshing..., 22 Jan 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is the ultimate tonic water if you've got a lovely gin like Hendricks or Tanqueray 10.

I used to think the tonic was the least important part of the drink until I tried this and realised how different a good tonic water can be. It tastes fresh and without the slightly sherberty aftertaste that so many of the big brands and supermarket own labels have. And if you've gone out and bought a premium gin, do it a favour and give it a tonic that will complement rather than mask those subtle flavours.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well made and great value, 22 Jan 2011
Metal kettlebells are generally more expensive than vinyl ones with good reason. They won't lose 'ballast' or split. This one is a comparable price to vinyl and the quality of it is fabulous. It's metal but the bell is covered in a rubber material so slightly less likely to mark anything should it drop.

The handle is pretty smooth so it's comfortable to grip. If you've got big hands, you may struggle to get both within it to do swings - but then, if your hands are that big, you'd probably be going for a bigger weight for two handed swings. It's also nicely shaped so that you can invert the bell to do overhead and abdominal exercises.

It's also not quite the odd shape that it seems in the picture which seemed to suggest that it was flat on each side. It's only got one slightly flattened edge, the other side does look more like a traditional ball-shape.

2.0 out of 5 stars Bulkier and not as robust as cast-iron ones, 22 Nov 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: York Vinyl Kettlebell (Sports)
I ordered one of these after doing a few kettlebell classes at the gym.

In comparison to the more compact cast-iron bells, these vinyl ones are substantially bulkier. This isn't as noticeable when doing swings and squats but did make it less easy when doing overhead presses etc.

I'd also question how robust it is. The one that I was sent by Amazon was defective; the handle had split and the 'filler' was coming out. This may just have been unfortunate but given that these are likely to hit the floor occasionally, I'm slightly concerned. Btw, Amazon handled the return and refund without any problem.

I'm going to spend the extra cash and get a proper iron kettlebell which should be easier to use and more sturdy.
