2.0 out of 5 stars They leak, 19 July 2014
Wore these boots hiking in the Alps earlier this year. Lots of snow & slush. A mistake - they leak. Not really a serious hiking boot - better for walking the dog.

An excellent day hike rucksack. Well thought out, comfortable. Used it for an intense Alpine hike recently and had no complaints.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb band, 8 May 2013
This review is from: Avaz (Audio CD)
This album proves the point that much of the most innovative contemporary music is coming from countries in which local musical traditions are being blended with global sounds. An exciting, original and intelligent album.

The Soft Machine were a seminal avant garde jazz/rock outfit .... this collection represents some of the finest music of the late 60s-70s era.

Attractive boot but they seem to be on the small side. Too tight - had to send them back. Not a good idea to buy footware online - unnecessary hassle really.

5.0 out of 5 stars Glastonbury as historical document, 20 Aug 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Although several tracks on this album were not actually recorded live at the early Glastonbury festivals, some (eg; Mighty Baby, Gong, Pink Fairies) perfectly capture the ambience of those early 1970s events - so different from the festival scene of today. This is an historical archive - it will become more important as those halcyon days recede further .... PS - Judging by other comments you are better off downloading it as other formats seem like a ripoff.

The first and best of the Fairies albums, Never Never Land captured the band at their anarchic best . Those who were there at Phun City and the earliest Glastonbury Festivals will never forget 'Uncle Harry's Last Freak Out' and the absolutely wonderful guitar of Paul Rudolph......
