4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Value, Questionable Firmware Quality, 25 Jun. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Good value part, and overkill for most uses so unusually placed in the range of low port count switches. However for a small Lab setup the managed nature of the switch is extremely handy, its low cost makes it a bargain buy.

Performance is stable and even when reaching close to peak throughput I find it stable. The user interface is a bit dated, but broadly intuitive and clear.

I have concerns as to the vulnerability of its embedded OS and some security options that are either missing or not convincingly implemented which means I would be less inclined to put this range of switch into any production environment. Default choice of NTP servers is also questionable, I'd have been happier to see them default to ntp.org instead of TP-Link but its easily changed, Administrative password restrictions also imply that it may not be securely hashing the credentials in the embeded OS (length and character restrictions) but these may change with later firmware releases.

Physical build quality is excellent however, I have found similar D-Link and Netgear switches in this price range to be subjectively very flimsy and poorly assembled, in this regard TP-Link have made a very well finished product that doesn't feel like it will spontaneously dissasemble.

Better firmware could easily convince me this is a 5/5.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Build Quality & Finish, 25 Jun. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
To disclose that I have two other Corsair cases, multiple Corsair PSU's and various other parts from them may bias me slightly. However I have spent years in building, repairing and maintaining PC's for a day job and regard the quality of current Corsair kit to be excellent, and their value to be better than rivals Coolermaster (who have declined slightly in build quality IMHO) and Antec (who build exceptionally robust and reliable kit).

The case is very well built, trim on edges both external and internal are very well smoothed which is to be expected of highend/premium cases. Layout inside the chassis is excellent, I found installation of parts very easy and placements have been very well thought out; finishing on the exterior is excellent down to anodized finish and printing to the inclusion of very effective fan filters.

The drive enclosure makes sense hidden on the bottom rear and is good if you don't plan to swap out drives, if you are looking for an ITX chassis for a storage array then I would recommend you look at other cases such as the Fractal Design Node 304 for its placement & quantity of supported 3.5" drives.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent value, 25 Jun. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Very good value for money, this part delivers high and consistent performance. I have a SM950 too and find performance between the drives inpercievable though synthetic workloads and heavy tasks (multiple concurrent VMs) begins to show some differences but this drive is easily the better value drive.

Highly recommended unless you can wait for the SM961 to be released.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very effective, 25 Jun. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Does the job nicely, its concentration means that it can be quiet intense smell but this is to be expected. I found multiple application was required over the course of a week to ensure all mould was removed.

It should be noted that compared to other mould removers I have used this is still be far the most effective.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very High Build & Picture Quality, 25 Jun. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Very clear with low noise in normal or low day-light and no flicker when room lit, precise auto-focus and head tracking (though I turned this off as it offered me little benefit).

Build quality and stand are very good, devices sits well on a monitor with minimal overlap onto top bezel of the screen.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very fast, better value can be found though, 25 Jun. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Its fast, very fast. But to be realistic, if you have a recent highend SSD you will not see earth shattering differences or percievable differences in startup times.

However the main benefit is consistency under heavy load, for me that is running multiple VMs with moderate disk i/o, development (compilation) and loading larger apps (i.e. games).

The older SM951 NVMe (be cautious of the AHCI and lowe bandwidth varients) which I also have is the better value part, and the newer SM961 when released looks like it will be better value so I would advise one of those two unless there is a significant price drop.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Effective - Low Smear/Streaking, 25 Jun. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Very effective, low smearing versus other cheap pre-mixed or similar self mix solutions that I have used. Reasonably priced for the mix ratio I use (UK Spring - Summer) effectiveness & value at higher concentration during winter is presently unknown though.

Solaris 10 The Complete Reference (Osborne Complete Reference Series)
Solaris 10 The Complete Reference (Osborne Complete Reference Series)
by Paul A. Watters
Edition: Paperback
Price: £47.99

3.0 out of 5 stars Disapointed, 7 April 2009
I was rather disappointed to find it lacking in Solaris specifics particularly as highlighted by others the specifics of Solaris 10's.

However if you put the name aside and the pretense that it is in anyway a complete reference then what you do have is a rather reader friendly introduction to Solaris that should encourage you to move onto more detail publishing's such as the Sun Certification Study Guides.

Then you could argue that missing out the juicy bits such as zones, service management and debugging then you've really missed out on some of Solaris 10's best features.

Overall good read had the name not promised so much.

5.0 out of 5 stars Few understand, 8 Sept. 2005
It was a love for the song 'Lucy (in the sky with diamonds)' that I braved the scared and concerned looks of my other half as a parted cash to buy this CD. All the while knowing that only William Shattner could sing it the way it needed not be sung. I think I may have been going too far when I turned up the cd player and started grinning like a mad fool as the room filled with his voice. Its a laugh, buy it for the satisfaction of knowing you own it. Hell play it enough and you'll eventually (though briefly) begin to actually enjoy it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gonna be a classic, 30 Mar. 2004
This review is from: Dark Days (Audio CD)
This album is awsome, dark and heavy. For me its one of those albums that you just know is awome from the second you hit the play button. I liked Coal Chamber, and I loved Chamber Music, the meere suggestion that this album could be any less than awsome isn't beliveable. Because thats what it is, one of those albums that I expect to achieve the status of a classic.
I'm not gonna tell you to buy it, because you should already have hit the buy button by time you finished the first line. You really will enjoy this album.
