5.0 out of 5 stars Takes a dry subject and makes it palatable., 25 Nov. 2011
This review is from: Expert C Programming (Paperback)
There are two reasons why you should buy this book.
1. You will learn something.
2. It will not kill you with boredom.
Enjoy.

Unto Leviathan
Unto Leviathan
by Richard Paul Russo
Edition: Paperback
Price: £19.00

4.0 out of 5 stars tense darkness., 24 July 2008
This review is from: Unto Leviathan (Paperback)
I enjoyed this book greatly. The action is based around the Argonos a huge ship which has been traveling the stars for generations, it's original goal now buried in time. The claustrophobic world of the ship now struggles to grapple with an alien encounter.
Great characterization and attempt to discuss the nature of evil is attempted as well as providing a page turning thriller. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful clarity., 7 May 2008
I thought this would be a very dry book, but it is a passionate explanation of Christianity. I've read it several times and often found more in it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Poetic pictures of Brazil, 15 Feb. 2008
This review is from: Rinko Kawauchi: Semear (Paperback)
Rinko Kawauchi takes you on a journey to Brazil. Beautiful spiritual journey through Brazil. Pulsating life viewed through a dream like gauze. Waterfalls, street photography, macros. Kawauchi's mastery of the photographic forms humbles and stuns the viewer.

5.0 out of 5 stars How to make choices., 13 Feb. 2008
This book is a collection of amazing pictures with the associated information of how the print was made. One of the problems with the darkroom for a beginner is that there are a huge number of choices to make. Other books may explain in better detail how to carry out the technique concerned, but few will illustrate the results of those choices, this helps to justify why a certain choice was made. It does not do this with words, but mainly with photographic examples. The more I look at it the more I get from it.

3.0 out of 5 stars only colour, 3 April 2007
After reading all these great reviews i would have thought this book would be amazing. There is no coverage of black and white. some of the tips are pretty useful, but I feel as though I'm being talked to like a four year old, "the sky brothers..." However, I have earnt something from the book so I'll give it three stars.
