2.0 out of 5 stars Out of Pocket, 9 Mar. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I ordered this product at a discount in return for an honest review. I have mixed feelings about it. The colour was as described with a tartan lining but when I saw it I felt it was much brighter than I thought and personally I wouldn't have paired the bright patterned material with the bright pink tartan but that may be personal taste. The feel of the garment is good quality and feels as though it will withstand plenty of swims in a chlorinated pool. However I did not find it was a 'sexy push up' as advertised. It did not fit. I ordered a size 16 xxxl as although I have a small back I do have bigger boobs. There was absolutely no way they would fit in as the are no 'cups'. It is really more like a bandeau halter neck across the front. The body of the swimsuit fitted fine but there was no way I would fit into the top without popping out at the sides and being squashed flat at the front. Not anything like sexy push up. When i contacted the seller regarding a return I discovered that it was £12 to return to China. First of all I was offered a £5 refund and it was suggested I could give he swimsuit to a friend or donate to charity (but who would want a second-hand swimsuit????). When I objected I was offered a half price refund which unfortunately I have had to accept. I would warn anyone who orders this product that it is not practical to return it if it doesn't fit and chances are like me you will be out of pocket. I do not think it is fair to be able to buy via Amazon which has a returns policy only to find that in practice it is impossible to return.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stylish Case. Good Value for Money., 1 Mar. 2016
This arrived by the date promised. I was pleased as it it is a really nice looking case. The grey is quite pale and looks very stylish, more silvery grey than the greeny -grey in the photo. It is slim and light. It fits snugly onto my iPad 2. It has a gel part that fits round the iPad itself and the cover folds to make a stand up to watch TV or a Movie. One good thing is that it switches my ipad on and off on opening/closing which my old case (gel cover only) didn't do. I received this product in exchange for a review but I am more than happy to recommend it.

5.0 out of 5 stars ... open a can of chick peas with my 'seen better days' version I decided it was time to get ..., 21 Feb. 2016
I am not in the habit of buying can openers but nearly losing my finger trying to open a can of chick peas with my 'seen better days' version I decided it was time to get one. Doing the weekly shop I looked at the ones available in the supermarket. They were either cheap and flimsy or more expensive and a bit gimmicky and I was not tempted to buy. Not good decision as it is only when you don't have a can opener you realise how many tins you use. Anyway Amazon to the rescue - this can opener is great! The photo does not do justice to the quality and the ease of use. I would highly recommend this product and it is extremely good value and competitively priced. No more shredded fingers. It should last for years.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well worth a read, 27 Nov. 2012
This book came up as a suggestion from Amazon as I have purchased several of James Innes's book in the past. (I particularly like The Interview Question & Answer Book: Your Definitive Guide to the Best Answers to Even the Toughest Interview Questions). I was intrigued as I had never seen a book on this topic before it so I thought I would give it a try. Like his other books it does what it says it will do taking the reader though the many issues they will face in a new job and offering invaluable advice in what to expect in the world of work. Having read it I decided it would a perfect gift for a younger member of my family who after resolutely applying for numerous jobs had finally received a much needed job offer. The book is ideal for someone starting off in their career as was my nephew, or anyone returning after a career break.

The Cover Letter Book: Your Definitive Guide to Writing the Perfect Cover Letter
The Cover Letter Book: Your Definitive Guide to Writing the Perfect Cover Letter
by James Innes
Edition: Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars Does exactly what is says it will do., 27 Nov. 2012
I would never have thought anyone could write a whole book on this subject but I was wrong. Billed as the definitive guide to the perfect cover letter I can only say it does just that. With pages of examples of covering letters meeting a variety of different needs anyone would be hard pushed not to improve their own cover letter and thereby increase their chance of being offered an interview. A good CV needs a professional cover letter to create a positive first impression so this book is well worth buying for any serious job hunter alongside my other recommendation The CV Book: Your Definitive Guide to Writing the Perfect CV

5.0 out of 5 stars Great all round book about Interviews, 27 Nov. 2012
This is a great handbook for anyone who hasn't had an interview for a long time or is unsure of what to expect. It explains what the employer is looking for, how to prepare for the interview, how to create a good first impression and how to answer the interview questions. I like the sections that point out the motives behind the question as I found it helped me make up my own answers using the suggested answers as a guide. It was a good introduction to the subject and a real confidence booster. However if anyone wants more specific help in preparing answers I would also recommend James Innes's newer bookThe Interview Question & Answer Book: Your Definitive Guide to the Best Answers to Even the Toughest Interview Questions

5.0 out of 5 stars Everything you need to know., 27 Nov. 2012
This is book is an updated version of James Innes' excellent 'CV Book'. I felt I must write this review as I saw that one reviewer was looking for something new and different about CV's which he didn't find in this book. I think that is really the point. There isn't really anything that new in CV writing but many candidates fail to get the most basic points right. James provides plenty of templates and suggested wording to help anyone put together a professional CV that will catch the eye of an employer. I just wish that many of the writers of CV's that I see had taken heed of some of the excellent tips in this book and have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone who has to produce a CV and doesn't know where to start.

5.0 out of 5 stars A must read for anyone preparing for an interview, 2 Nov. 2012
The book claims to be the 'definitive guide to the best answers to even the toughest interview questions' and it does live up to this in my opinion. It covers 100 plus typical areas of questioning with example answers but what I found most valuable were the the 'meaning behind the question' tips. I hadn't come across this before and found it really helpful that the author explained what the interviewer is getting at in some detail. I found with other books I'd looked at I was almost trying to learn the answers parrot fashion but with the advice in this book it became so much easier to think up my own answers and as a result I feel much more confident. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone with an interview to prepare for.
