I've hugely enjoyed making some of these recipes and think the book is straightforward to use, beautifully put together and - most importantly - hugely useful for people like me who do want to cut down on starchy, highly-refined white carbs, but without embracing the deeply depressing, joyless extremes of zero-carb regimes. For that reason, I'm a bit perplexed by a couple of these reviews. The book doesn't claim to be NO carbs (it specifically mentions avoiding - avoiding, not eliminating entirely - WHITE CARBS on the cover) or suitable for the dreaded (and unhealthy) Atkins diet.
