4.0 out of 5 stars Good value for money, 4 Nov. 2010
Great little dvd player for the money. We bought it to keep our 15 month old daughter entertained on an 8 hour car journey and it did the job brilliantly. Yes it is a little noisy when playing, but to be honest, when you are in the car, that's not really an issue. Battery life is around 2 hours, but you can still watch it when it is plugged into the car charger.
The only downside was that the product description stated that the carry case WAS NOT a car fitting case, so we went and bought a separate fitting case. When the player arrived, we found that the case came with straps to fit it to the headrest of the car, so we had wasted money buying another one.
Apart from that, we are happy with it. Anything that keeps the little one happy for 8 hours, is ok by us!

5.0 out of 5 stars best baby book, 17 Dec. 2009
We bought this book when our daughter was 3 weeks old and it has been our constant companion ever since. It is full of great advice and it is not at all preachy like alot of other baby books on the market (sorry, did someone mention Gina Ford?). It gives a fair balance of pros and cons on subjects like co-sleeping and controlled crying, so that you are able to make up your own mind about what will suit you and your baby. It doesn't make you feel like you HAVE to do any one thing. The weaning appendix at the back is also excellent and very easy to follow. It is just a shame that the book finishes at 6 months as we are going to miss the guidance that it gives.
