1.0 out of 5 stars Wish I could get back the time I spent reading it, 3 Mar 2013

As a story its fine but the characters are rather bland and a bit full of themselfs. It really felt more like young childrens book focused on being pc with heros struggling to use the training they spent most of their lifes attaing in real life combate situations. If you like a hero that understands that a moral code isn't worth letting a villian go off and harm innocents I'd steer far away from this one.

The story was great and didn't feel like a copy and pasted verion of the first one. The pace was great, characters interesting and it was well worth the money.

Being a skeptic of short stories that take place in between books in a series I was pleasantly surprised. I have usually found that the short stories usually contain cute but overall pointless content that leaves you feeling cheated. Victory soup however contained actual plot development for the series and proved to be an enthralling read.

Just an overall boring read with a lacklustre plot. Honestly didn't care if the hero won in the end as he was far too 2 dimensional.
