5.0 out of 5 stars This is Sick apparently!, 15 Mar. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This cover comes in a well protected case to ensure it arrives in A1 condition. Great instructions, and all the wipes and cleaning cloths you'll need. It also comes with guide stickers so you can place the cover on to your device, align it, place the stickers on one end and then remove the sticky cover to place it down. This ensures a perfect position.
It goes on to your device by just laying it down and gravity does the rest. You might need a bit of pushing to get any air to the side, but the package comes with a dust removal label to make sure it's super clean underneath.
The cover is crystal clear so anyone worried it will alter your device's screen resolution, it won't. I got this for my ultra picky 15 year old computer nerd son and he says it's 'sick' apparently. I originally thought it was rubbish but it seems this is the way teens refer to something that's actually really good.
So OMOTON, you have a Sick product. Keep on being Sick.

5.0 out of 5 stars It really is non iron!, 2 Dec. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
These shirts aren't cheap but you get what you pay for. The quality is second to none and they really are non iron. Wash them, hang them and by the morning the creases have gone and they really are good enough to wear. Throughout the day you main body area, chest, stomach, shoulders, upper arms etc, ask the areas on view, will remain crease free. You will still get some creasing on these elbow crook but the main areas will keep you looking smart all day.

2.0 out of 5 stars Spoilt on 2 levels, 5 Nov. 2015
This review is for the audio version.
First to the book. I have to agree with one reviewer who posted that the book didn't really know where to go. There are some nice anecdotes and memories in the book but it's really just that. It's very like listening to a guy down the pub who won't stop talking about how great he is and all the cool stuff he's done and how annoying it was to be doing all this stuff day in day out. The kind of things that you quietly sit there and listen to and think "you ungrateful sod. I'd give an arm and a leg to live your life just for a day and here you are complaining about it." Well David Millar comes across as 'that guy'.
Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of David but this seems like a weak Swansong when he could have done something much better as a memoir of his racing days.
Now to the audio version narrator. There was a comedy sketch done by The Impssions Show of BBC newsreader Fiona Bruce. It's very funny and pokes fun at her reading style. Well watch it, because that's how the narrator of this book reads. Not like Fiona Bruce, like the comedienne who mocks her, and it's very annoying. There is a breathless rush of the last word of every sentence that starts to make you concentrate on its inevitable arrival on each sentence. And that spoils it. Maybe it's swayed my opinion of the book.
The guy might be a very well respected narrator, but sadly his style spoilt it for me.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your money, 14 Aug. 2015
This is a waste of time, don't bother. Bought 10 of this things at the early stages of their development and had to wait over a year until I got them. Downloaded the app and pulled one of them out. Syncing to my phone was actually fairly simple and quick but that's where the ease of use ended.
Hit the icon to sound the device and all you get is a weak tinny sound that you have to be really close to hear. Place it behind a cushion and you haven't a hope in hell of hearing it. Be more than 15 feet away and it won't even go off.
Ok so I tried the phone finder and pressed the button (which is actually hard to do because it is resessed) and...nothing. I checked the settings and tried again with the phone right next to it...nothing. I tried 5 of the devices before 1 actually managed to get the phone to sound. Again, more than 15 feet away you can forget it.
The app kept crashing on me and freezing my phone so that was an added pain in the ass.
So the problems also materialise when you work out what you have to do to actually get a signal. Your bluetooth needs to be on all the time and connected to the device which drains more battery and places your phone at risk from unauthorised access. To track a lost item your device needs to have been passed by someone with a smartphone who is also using the app and has had the forthought to ensure their 'crowd sharing' is switched on. They then have to pass within 15 feet of your lost item to activate it's location for you to find. And here's the thing, if you've lost it in a place where no one walks, where data reception is poor (no 3 or 4 G) if no one with the app walks by or if someone has stolen it and put it in their house, then it's gone and you won't get it back.
Remember the key ring that responded to you when you whistled? That works better than this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great excuse to check your nads gents, 30 July 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Didn't think that a change in nut butter could make me more comfortable but after using one brand for some years I gave this a go and it seems to ease some of the discomfort I'd started to develop.
One good point about chamois cream, all brands, is that by applying it we get a good feel around an area that we don't check enough. A good friend of mine found a lump on his testicle while applying cream and turned out to be cancer. Checked, confirmed, sliced off, back to riding. He now says with one less ball it costs him 50% less in chamois cream! I pointed out that if he had the other lopped off he'd save a lot more. He's a bit of a tight wad so I do hope he doesn't ask for the other one to be taken off just to save money.
Anyway, this cream is a good consistancy and spreads well and gives you a good excuse to cup your nads in public! Enjoy

4.0 out of 5 stars Great alternative to other expensive brands for cyclists, 30 July 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought this to use on my bikes (cycling) chains etc. I'd used Muc off for ages but was getting a bit miffed at the price of Muc off. I can't complain at Muc off as it's very good stuff, just wanted to try something different.
I used this with a Park Tools chain cleaner/ Was really amazed at how clean it got the chain after just a few turns of the cogs. But after you removed the chain cleaning tool you will need to hose the chain off to get rid of any buccles and soap.
I thought that if it did such a good job of the chain I'd put some into my old Muc off spray bottle and give the cassette and other oily working parts a coat. Left it for about 10 minutes and hosed them off to be left with clean and sparkly cassette, crankset and wheels. (Wheel rims dod need a quick rub)
All in all I'm chuffed to NAAFI break with this (you ex squaddies will get that one) because it's good value, you'll use less (just you cyclists I mean) than Muc off and it does a cracking job of cleaning oiled componants on your bike.
I should point out that the oil used on cycles is more viscous and easier to shift that motor vehicle parts oil. It comes under less stress and attracts less carbon and road deposits than cars do. This may account for its effectiveness on bikes and not so good on cars as explained by other reviews. Also, we cyclists tend to clean our chains after a few rides and after any wet ride too so this may also account for it's ease of use.

2.0 out of 5 stars Never quite gets there, 10 Jun. 2014
This review is from: The Loyal Lieutenant (Hardcover)
I've had this book for a couple of weeks now and unlike others on the post LA doping subject, I just can't get into this one.
I think part of the problem is that George has wheeled out a whole host of current top names to add little snippets in the book and how great George is and what an influence he has been on their lives. George does as good a job congratulating himself as they do too so the book is really about how super duper Big George was/is.
He never really gets to grips with the doping issue, instead making excuses (as they all have) about the fact he 'had to do it' and he never tries to distance himself from the culture either. Maybe he's too loyal?
George starts to take the credit as the architect of change within the pro peleton. He makes some veiled claims that he started the clean up after an epiphany but prior to this he was cheating 'only a little bit'. He would only cheat when it was absolutely necessary it seems and then only a little bit of EPO, testosterone and blood. That's still cheating mate.
I really wanted this book to be an expose of life inside the Armstrong Camp, the doping culture and the life of a Super Domestique. Instead its a self congratulatory book of excuses with nothing new. Like I said, I've had this for 2 weeks and I can't really be bothered to read the final few chapters.
