5.0 out of 5 stars Brillant, 1 May 2011
The writing is amazing I have always been interested in the crime thriller genre but lost interest for a long time but since discovering Scandinavian crime writers I am hooked.

I could not out this book now it is even better then the preacher by the same author, which I would also highly recommend reading.

The book in written in such as way that you can't help but not put it down, totally gripping from start to finish.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Read, 8 Mar 2010
This review is from: Where Death Delights (Hardcover)
I am a big fan of Bernard Knight's Crowner series of books, so eagerly anticipated this book the first in a new serious of a forensic Pathologist Richard Pryor set in the 1950's.

It is well written, and a subject that is very close to Knight's heart as it is a career that he had.

I couldn't put it down I highly recommend it to all Bernard Knight fan and to anyone who like a crime novel that more fact than fiction

Can't wait for the next one in series

4.0 out of 5 stars A great read, 5 Oct 2008
Since buying this book I couldn't put it down. Its a great addition to my discworld collection.

I would recommend it to any Terry Pratchett fan. It an easy read that is broken down into different chapters covering the many facets of Discworld, using examples for the books to illustrate the point being made. The book explains why certain things occur in the discworld books like why there has to be 3 witches.

An example of Pratchett at his best.
