I m a Nespresso fan since 2003, so i was sceptical, but I must admit that this machine is a marvel. Great build quality from Bosch and a great range of coffee available. If you are drinking certain long coffee drinks you might have to fill the reservoir every 3 drinks or so, but this is not a concern and really isnt a problem since the trade off is a machine which takes up so little space.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty close to perfect, 6 Feb. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Pretty close to perfect. Sound quality is excellent, and as they isolate sound well you dont need high volume levels. Battery life is good, the cable doesnt tangle when left in a bag or pocket, set up is child's play. Hands free paired with an Iphone they work great too.
To be perfectly honest, I have Bose QC3s which i use for travelling, and so i appreciate why one would spend a lot of money on headphones, but if you are looking for Bluetooth headphones for gym use, running etc and dont want to spend £150+ then look no further than these.

Badgerlands: The Twilight World of Britain's Most Enigmatic Animal
Badgerlands: The Twilight World of Britain's Most Enigmatic Animal
by Patrick Barkham
Edition: Hardcover
Price: £15.90

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful. Touching but unsentimental., 7 Jan. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
If you havent read Barkham's previous work "The Butterfly Isles" then you might not be expecting this book to be quite this great. Barkham writes in a magically enthusiastic way about the British countryside, without becoming sentimental, and it is this that allows him to investigate our relationship with the badger in such a readable way. He succeeds in making this account just as personal as the Butterfly Isles. One can only hope that he continues to find topics which inspire him to write more. If you read this you ll find yourself emploring other people to do the same. It's the type of book which you want other people to have read too.

A Savage War of Peace: Algeria, 1954-62
A Savage War of Peace: Algeria, 1954-62

5.0 out of 5 stars Essential - A work of genius - Horne at his best, 6 Jan. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This book should be required reading for anyone seeking to understand France. The Algerian question remains an unspoken one at times, but vital to understanding almost all aspects of French society. This is a fabulous account of a very complex subject, and it is delivered with a good deal more impartiality than many other works on the subject. Do not worry that it was written so long ago, it is testimony to Horne's genius that it remains relevant today.

2.0 out of 5 stars lightweight, 6 Jan. 2014

Disappointingly light weight, and doesnt grip notes with any conviction. I have added various pieces of cardboard to pad out the thickness of the notes carried, but ultimately i am still looking for the right silver money clip. A heavy one!

Hunting the Golden Lion: A Cycle Safari Through France
Hunting the Golden Lion: A Cycle Safari Through France
by Martin Lloyd
Edition: Paperback

4.0 out of 5 stars Genuinely very funny, 6 Jan. 2014
i'm sceptical of many books written about France by Brits - they have their place, but I tend to dislike the ones that reinforce stereotypes for cheap laughs. This book is very a funny but also clearly affectionate portrait of the France the author finds on his road trip. He is clearly somebody who understands France as well as any British person can. I recommend it highly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great motivation tool, 8 April 2013
I just celebrated 100 days with my Fuel Band. I average 3600 points per day and i have lost 5kg in that time. You can cheat it if you really want to, but that isnt the point. For the first week or so just do your usual routine, ignore the bracelet. Then start paying more attention to how you can add say 10 or 20% extra to the score you were earning before. Whatever your level, that sort of extra effort will give results. It doesnt monitor sleep quality like the Fitbit or the Jawbone Up, but you can quickly tell if you have had a restless night - you wake with a higher than usual score. If you are looking for serious data analysis of your running or cycling i would hope that you are not even considering buying one of these, that simply isnt the point. The Nike software that tracks your performance gives you a complete record of your days, even the lazy ones, so slacking off isnt an option!!
