5.0 out of 5 stars Lo and behold- a third outing!, 23 Feb. 2005
This is magical. a film i saw in patches as a kid and i loved every minute of as a teenager has a third run-in. brilliant!
Although the new concept here is brilliant- again the idea of underground monsters is kind of dead-end- this is undoubtly the weakest link in the trilogy. thankfully most of the original cast are here- bacon and ward have moved on, which leaves the REAL star- Burt Gumer- to take center stage with his vast array of weapons to blow seven bags of **** out of the buggers!
a must see for fans, definetly worth a purchase, but not as good as the first two

5.0 out of 5 stars stunning., 6 Nov. 2004
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
simply stunning. i became hooked on the TV Series, and always wanted this DVD set.
You become attached to each of the members of the squad, so when one dies you really feel hurt. tears went down my cheecks throughout each episode, mainly because i have been to many of the locations before and it bought back so many memories.
one to treasure and show the kids when they're old enough. a landmark in DVD history.

5.0 out of 5 stars essential, 19 Dec. 2003
ive spent the past year playing my gba, and after buying this sp (i was worried id wasted my money at first) the backlight improves the games 100%
when first playing it i wasn't sure about the shape, but after a while your fingers just mould onto it and everything feels fine. the flip top lid protects the screen from scratches, a major problem with the plain gba, and backlight ensures no difficulty in low lit areas.
i was very unsure whether to upgrade for a long long time, but im now proud of doing so. essential

5.0 out of 5 stars fantastic, 26 Nov. 2003
my opinions before buying were simply that it should have come with the Xbox. Of course, now Microsoft have realised this they seem to package it alot within bundles. I would have been annoyed by spending 20 quid on a remote had it not been for the amazing playback and ease of use.
since purchasing this item i have never watched a dvd on my PS2, the xbox quality is so much better. the remote if very simple to use, light and even glows in the dark. The speed that you fast forward/rewind is amazing too and i would definetly recommend this to every xbox owner.

5.0 out of 5 stars woo hoo!, 26 Nov. 2003
a fantastic album, had me up bouncing on the bed with my air guitar by the time 'Summer of 69' came on. A great selection of classic (i hate using the word old) and new tunes that will have you and your dad shaking your heads in that Ozzy Osbourne-type way, hair going all over the place whilst pretending you're Pete Townshend. Just a word of warning: move away from any light fittings whilst playing this CD. I tried a jumping windmill and knocked the lampshade flying across the room! :D

4.0 out of 5 stars suprisingly pleasing, 26 Nov. 2003
Now this is a review from a follower of the PES series, and whilst i always buy FIFA to take a look first hand at what i could be missing, it often gets returned within a week. So i approached this version with caution.
FIFA 2004 has borrowed a few ideas from Championship Manager this time round, as when you start up you select which team you support and it shows shirts and other pictures of your club in the background. A nice touch. Thankfully the gameplay has taken an overhaul from previously dire attempts, and it's now possible to have a decent kick about without the score line becoming unrealistic. Alot of work has to be done to match up with PES3 i can assure you, as games can slip into the end-to-end stuff we've all seen before, but for now it's the best of any FIFA title in the past.
The presentation is amazing, EA have really gone into overdrive here. The main aim now is watching the action from the pitch, and not from above. They do this well by placing the camera on floor level on goalkicks so you see the ball lofted into the air above everyone, plus the camera goes in close at kick-off. Players actually look like their real-life counter-parts and is very convincing, as are the stadiums which house each game. The crowds are also nicely detailed, but as with every football title availiable not enough time and effort has gone into the fans as the players, which is a shame.
Bad points come from the lack of customisation; ie you can't make your own teams, players or tornaments, and the main season mode (which pits you in as a manager) only lasts for five seasons. A pity really, as the days of the Mega Drive and early PSone were customizable like hell. What i also don't like is the way EA remove features from future editions- what happened to all those teams we saw in WC98? Indoor football in 97? If EA could make tighter gameplay, bring back the heritage of the series and pull it's finger out for custom teams then we'd all be running for a copy of FIFA instead of PES.
A very good game let down by a few flaws. I'll still play it - The best FIFA title to date.

5.0 out of 5 stars a little gem, 24 Nov. 2003
finding the original versions of the three titles can prove tricky and costly, and with them being so old now the condition of them can be poor. The platinum titles replace the disc artwork with that horrible silver and the case is labelled up like a bargain bin.
However this collection is a great find. The discs have their original artwork, the instructions are original too and all the maps are included. Whilst graphics in the industry have rapidly moved on playing these titles is a pleasure and i would recommend it to anyone looking to catch up on one of the best series in videogames history.

5.0 out of 5 stars i love this more than life itself, 30 April 2003
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
ah- the everyday life of the worlds favourite family The Osbournes.
Watch in horror and laughter at the things the four get up to, including 'persuading' the next door neighbor to turn his music down to Ozzy's pre-tour antics.
There are tons of extras on the dvd including the Ozzy translator- subtitles appear when he speaks!
For fans of the series or just plain Ozzy- this is worthy of a purchase. For those who have never seen it- WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?
buy it now and sample the delights of the Osbournes

5.0 out of 5 stars breathtaking. a stand taken., 30 April 2003
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The series on BBC was hard to get into due to the episodes being one week apart, but now you can experience each episode as you wish. the best way to go about watching this is all episodes in one day.
This boxset really portrays the horror of war brilliantly and is an experience just to sit and watch it, let alone think of what the real people fighting on the front line had to go through.
words cannot praise how essential this dvd is- think of it a £50 profit rather than spending it.

Monsters, Inc. Gift Pack (DVD and Toy)
Monsters, Inc. Gift Pack (DVD and Toy)
Dvd ~ Pete Docter

5.0 out of 5 stars Kids and parents will love this for years to come, 9 Jan. 2003
Step inside the world of Monstropolis and live the tale of Sully and Mike (voiced by Jon Goodman and Billy Crystal respectivly).
The two monsters make scream at a factory, which is the cities power supply. But Sully accidently lets in a little girl called Boo, and all hell brakes loose as they try to return her to the human world.
Kids will laugh at the comical Mike and will fall in love with the cuddly Sully (he's the toy with the pack) while parents will weep at the sweet and charming Boo.
A great film for all the family to sit around and watch, and will be talked about by all for years to come.
