4.0 out of 5 stars A great random choice from the kindle store, 11 May 2011
I picked this at random from the Kindle store and I wasn't disappointed.

There are some moving moments in the book which are handled very well. The rest of the storyline unfolds nicely with colourful characters and well-told action sequences.

4.0 out of 5 stars Moving, thought provoking, slightly rushed at the end, 11 May 2011
I'll state from the off that had I not found the ending slightly rushed that I would have given this book a 5 star rating. The subject matter is unusual and at times discomforting but in general the story unfolds in an exciting and somehow still entertaining manner. I did find the timeline of the book confusing, but that may have been because I mainly read when travelling so my sessions are somewhat fragmented.

The only criticism as I have mentioned is that I found the finale (which could have been suspenseful and nail-biting) a little bit rushed and almost containing too much information so I wasn't too surprised at what unfolded.

All in all a good read though and I will look forward to more books by the author.

5.0 out of 5 stars Complex, entertaining and detailed, 11 May 2011
This review is from: The Cobra (Kindle Edition)
I can appreciate that some of the reviewers of this novel have found this hard work when compared to other action-adventure novels but I found the endless detail a breath of fresh air. It was nice to finish a book and not immediately be questioning all the technological gadgetry and holes in the plot.

The story itself was very plausible - I found it every much a page turner as any other novel I have read recently.

Here's to more excellent novels by Mr Forsyth.
