5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing value for money, 5 Jun. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Crystal clear sound, configurable and responsive EQ which doesn't compromise the sound quality (unlike iPods...), good soundstage, and an easy to use UI. There's no need for iTunes syncing as you just drag and drop your music folders onto the DX50s hard disk or onto a microSD card. It came with current firmware release (v1.2.8) which seems fine and I haven't detected any bugs so far. I've been listening using Phonak PFE 012 earphones with Comply foam tips, and through Sennheiser HD 25-1-II headphones and love the sound of this DAP. It's not bass heavy, so if you want thudding bass this may not be the way to go, but the sound is so clear. I've tweaked a custom EQ which brings in a little more low end and brings down the mids a bit and the sound quality isn't at all compromised at all (as far as I can tell). For the money this is absolutely worth every penny.

Also in the box: USB charging cable, coaxial cable, soft case and two screen protectors.

Great band, great album and definitely back on form after Diamond Eyes. Listened to Leathers when they leaked it and the album does not disappoint. Immense.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, 8 Jan. 2013

My first MacBook and I'll never go back. It does what I want it to do when I ask it to do it.
It's my new baby and it sleeps between me and my girlfriend. And she's fine with that.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for the price, 3 Sept. 2012
Really nice product for the price - Compact, very comfortable, and the sound quality is very good (maybe a little bass heavy however). I use them for watching tv/movies etc and they're perfect for this. I also use them in the gym and as they're open backed they don't completely cut out the awful gym music played through tinny speakers at 100db, and if you're listening to music next to someone on a bus they'll hear whatever you're listening to so make sure it's something good.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good family fun, 20 Feb. 2012
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
The graphics might not be up to much as it's a conversion from the PSP game, but this is still very playable. It takes a little while to get into as the earlier missions are pretty easy and the story line is a bit wet, but as it gets going it gets almost as addictive as Vice City itself. The Vice City layout is pretty much the same, and a lot of the same characters are about in this one too. I'd say it's more a parody of itself and it's setting than Vice City, which makes it amusing (at times) and not quite as brutal. The music is pretty ace as always in GTA games, and the Phil Collins storyline makes the game (along with the final mission). Well worth a punt at the price for any fans of GTA Vice City, but be warned it doesn't take too long to complete.

3.0 out of 5 stars Lack of top end frequencies, 4 Mar. 2011
The subwoofer kicks out plenty of bass for a small to mid sized room and the volume control on it is essential. The weird bit is the main satellite speakers. They have 360 degree sound - out the front comes loads of mids, but very little top end. I discovered that all the top end comes out the back of the speakers! So I have the speakers facing the wall so the mids bounce back into the room but still get the presence of the top end. If it's the other way round the mid range is so dominating the top end is completely lost, making everything really muffled. Cheap, but not great really.
