5.0 out of 5 stars STUNNING - SIMPLY STUNNING!, 22 Feb 2011
This review is from: 21 (Audio CD)
Where do you start? Simply stunning album. Being a bit of female vocalist fan, (Missy Higgins, Natalie Merchant, Annie Lennox, Sarah McLachlan, etc.), Adele is right there.
If you like strong female vocalists, powerful lyrics and emotionally laden songs, buy '21' now.

5.0 out of 5 stars NETGEAR STILLS ROCKS - DON'T BE PUT-OFF, 20 Feb 2009
i've been a long time Netgear user and was very surprised to the very mixed reviews about the DG834N. I had a DG834.v2 for ages which worked well but lacked range in the house. So, even after reading the mixed reviews I bought a DG834N.
It works perfectly - got it working with 10 minutes out of the box! I used the CD-ROM led installation - very easy and worked first time.
My neighbour is also on Netgear, so I change the wireless settings to "Channel 7" rather than "Auto" and kept the "upto 270mbps" setting.
My set-up is...
Wired desktop running Vista Ultimate
2 x PCs (for the kids) running XP Professional, SP2.
With BOTH of the kids' PCs I also used the recommended WN311B PCI RangeMax Adapter - and I get 270mps on each of the Kids PCs and really steady connection that has not dropped once in 2 weeks.

So, the DG834N works very well BUT go the whole 9 yards and buy the recommended PCI adapters - worth the investment.

5.0 out of 5 stars ATMOSPHERIC BRILLIANCE, 7 May 2006
This review is from: Ophelia (Audio CD)
Stunning, simply stunning. It's dark, deep, sad, depressing, emotive, atmospheric, emotional and one hell of a journey from start to finish. If you want 'pop' don't buy this! If you like expressive lyrics sung by a haunting voice then this is the best you can do.

"My Skin" is as dark and depressing as you can get. Yet, by the time the full instrumental ending kicks in, it becomes one of the most uplifting pieces of music you can listen to.

Natalie Merchant IS acquired taste. But without sampling, your life will be poorer for it!

5.0 out of 5 stars A HIDDEN GEM - TRULY FABULOUS MUSIC!, 29 Nov 2001
This review is from: Tigerlily (Audio CD)
Saw her on MTv about 2 years ago, and forgot to buy the "Tigerlily" CD until about 6 months ago - still can't stop playing it. Every song is magical. "Wonder" was the single but "Carnival" should have been the follow-up. "I may know the word", is one of those songs you just never tire of listening to. Soulful, blues, rock, folk, it's all there and more - when will she get the recognition she deserves. Buy this CD now and you won't regret it.
