Couldn't put it down..., 23 Feb 2002
Here we see Saint Germain's life in the years before World War I when he goes under the name Count Franchot Ragoczy. He is recruited by Czar Nockolai II as an ambassador where he must meet with the Czar's uncle Edward VII of Great Britain and his cousin Kaiser Wilhelm II.
Saint Germain is hindered by enemy agents and is watched by networks of spies. Baron Manfred Klemens von Wolgast is a typical Yarbro villain: he is a greedy, misogynistic and cruel.
Add into the equation the free-spirited artist Rowena Pearce-Manning as the Count's love interest and we have all the ingredients of another great historical vampire novel from Yarbro.
