This is an absolute treat. I nearly got to catch the Newcastle gig and now kick myself for missing it after listening to this album. An album to savour and what a nice guy too. More gigs please.

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful potted history, 22 Nov 2011
My company now owns this yard so the history presented in this book has added value and interest. As part of the history of Wallsend and ship building on the Tyne this is an excellent beautifully presented book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good old heavy metal Gillan, 22 Nov 2011
This review is from: Live: Triple Trouble (Audio CD)
I still have the original vinyl version which was limited edition. The main album has faired wellover the years but the bonus CD/LP was mixed back then and still is but it is still good value and worth buying for a few of the tracks on it.

3.0 out of 5 stars My least favourite so far, 22 Nov 2011
The first four volumes were fantastic 5 stars each but this one lost the plot somewhat drifting off the railways and onto many other topics. The films are all very good and interesting but not quite what I was expecting - some films are definitely off the beaten track, not even with a token train in the distant background.

A fantastic blast from the past with many bonus tracks from here and there - great, brilliant. Wish more good quality live recordings from the 70s era were available.

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent book and series, 11 Oct 2011
This book contains excellent information and rare photos exactly what I was looking for. The others in this series also look like they will be as good too.

Replaces the old vinyl copy in the attic - the studiop versions are slightly slower than the live maniac paced versions - good fun to hear this again

4.0 out of 5 stars A very good and thoroughly enjoyable British film, 20 Jun 2011
This review is from: Another Year [DVD] (DVD)
If it stars Jim Broadbent then you know it will be good and this is no exception. A very very funny/sad reflection of everday life in the any UK city. At time you get really annoyed with the characters and give them a piece of your mind which means you are getting right into the film.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good fun plus interesting tour of the countryside, 20 Jun 2011
Not as good as the World Tour of Scotland series but still funny. The countryside features less and perhaps this is because of trying to cover too much in one series. The World Tour of Australia is second to the Scotland one followed by this one then New Zealand. I didn't enjoy the one going round the north passage of Canada, just hope that the new one just being filmed will be back to his best form = World Tour of Route 66.

We've now got every episode and you can watch them a few times and realise you've missed lots of little subtle things
