An excellent reference work, 15 Aug 2005
Jane Kimball's massive book is a revelation for all interested in Trench Art itself, and in the relationships between people and objects in time of war - and in its aftermath. Stunningly illustrated, clearly written, this book I know has been a long time coming - a real labour of love. But, it was worth the wait. Every collector, dealer, museum, art gallery, and educational institution should buy a copy of this unique book before it sells out! It is a work of art and dedication that brings to life the objects we call trench art - the 3-D memories of conflict that endure when we fade away.
