Tell Tale Signs is awash with evidence of his staggering mercuriality and is a testament to Bob Dylan's love of music as well as his continued mastery in crafting it. Great stuff!

4.0 out of 5 stars Another fine album from The Boss!, 15 Jan 2014

It's doubtful any serious music fan is expecting this to be the greatest hour for The Boss – and of course it's not – but when all is said and done it's still a welcome addition to his almighty body of work. Judged on its own merits, High Hopes is a damn fine entertaining album that for me anyway has plenty of replay value.

There are 3 real highlight tracks for me on this album; those are Down in the Hole, Hunter of Invisible Game and The Wall, of which the absolute standout track is HUNTER OF INVISIBLE GAME - what a great song! It is one of those songs that you’ll happily shelf as an instant classic in the Bruce Springsteen canon of great songs. Well done Bruce Springsteen for keeping the music coming and see you further on down the road.

5.0 out of 5 stars Some of best live music ever recorded!, 17 Dec 2013

This has to be without a doubt one of the best live concerts of any kind available on DVD or Blu-Ray. I own this on Blu-Ray and even those in my own extended family who never 'really got Bruce' and think his just a 'screamer' were converted by this and recognised we are dealing with a very special musical craftsman. The music is just brilliant and to see musicians at the top of their game performing with such passion all orchrestrated and pulled together by Bruce is just a joy to watch. It inevitably comes out around Christmas time especially for the last few year's in my house as my father-in-law just loves it and in truth, it is such a festive and enjoyable foot stomping experience, it really is heart warming. You have to see it, to believe it, - but once you do you'll want to watch it again and again! Enjoy it! As once again the truly great Bruce Springsteen reminds us all how great it really is to be alive! Bruuuuuuuce....

These are great classic songs performed with a fervor and heart that reveals another dimension to Bruce Springsteen's musical talent. Anyone who appreciates Bruce Springsteen and great music will most definitely love this album. I wasn't too familiar with much of the material on this album but I absolutely love it now. Pour yourself a strong one, put this record on and you'll definitely feel a part of the party. It's just a really fun recording that sounds wonderful on vinyl and just try not stomping your feet when listening to this - it's impossible!

5.0 out of 5 stars Bringing It All Back Home - a Mobile Fidelity must have!, 13 Sep 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is the first installment of Dylan's trilogy of rock albums that would continue with Highway 61 Revisited and culminate in Dylan's 1960s' magnum opus Blonde on Blonde. Another magical release from Mobile Fidelity of yet another classic Dylan album on heavy 180g 45rpm vinyl, the clarity of sound is just excellent and this is certainly the best I've personally ever heard this album sound. A must have!

5.0 out of 5 stars Truly Something Special - from Mobile Fidelity, 13 Sep 2013

Dylan lays it down and announces with this second album that he was indeed here to stay. The best was yet to come but this album still holds some of the greatest songs in Dylan's entire discography, Blowin' In The Wind, Masters Of War, A Hard Rain's Gonna Fall, Don't Think Twice, It's All Right, all classics. Protest songs, love songs, folk songs, or just singing the blues, the material on The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan remains amongst the most astonishing ever recorded by an artist who was still aged just 23.

Truly something special this masterpiece has been given the vinyl release it really deserves. This wonderful Mobile Fidelity 180g 45 rpm release is in a word - STUNNING!

Listening now to this heavy pressed 180 gram vinyl and it sounds absolutely superb! It comes in a black bag with a sticker on it, so it looks a lot like the original pressings and contains a poster and stickers, plus a bonus code so one can download individual tracks or the album as an mp3. Really, if you are thinking about this vinyl version then I can highly recommend it because it sounds fantastic and the packaging is perfectly done.

3.0 out of 5 stars From the sublime to the ridiculous, 20 Nov 2012
`The Dark Knight Rises' looks spectacular but it is ultimately a film badly let down by a script filled with ridiculous plot holes and a missing Batman that falls apart in too many places. In the first two Nolan Batman films there was a logic and well structured script driving the story telling but it really does get lost in this final instalment. Yes Batman is just a fantasy but the let down of the third is that Nolan shabbily reminds the viewer of that fact and one just cannot take this story as seriously as the first two Nolan Batman films. It is worth a watch of course but just don't expect this film to match or surpass the heights of the first two films in this series.

1.0 out of 5 stars The film that very nearly killed James Bond., 15 Oct 2012
Die Another Day is a James Bond film so bad that it very nearly single handily killed this historic franchise stone dead. Paradoxically, it is at times so bad that it is brilliant in its ridiculousness and will leave the viewer in convulsions of laughter at the absurdity of it all.

It is by some distance the most poorly directed of all the Bond series and the acting is simply terrible. Toby Stephens and Halle Berry set new standards for bad acting on screen and that takes some doing. However, perhaps the one that paid the biggest price was Pierce Brosnan. In many ways the perfect screen Bond - Brosnan ends up paying the ultimate price and losing his role of a lifetime forever because quite simply there was no going back after being attached to the debacle that was Die Another Day and the producers knew it.

After Die Another Day something had to give in order for the franchise to even survive and thankfully it did leading to a radical overhaul and a new Bond for the 21st century.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great entertainment and fun!, 6 Oct 2011

THOR is really spectacular entertainment from start to finish done with a real sense of fun and style. A popcorn movie for the brain no doubt but sometimes you need those too, so I thoroughly enjoyed it. If you just want a fun action escapist film then you cannot go wrong with `THOR' - by the Gods of Valhalla I think I'll watch it again!
