5.0 out of 5 stars ALL HAIL THE GENIUS THAT IS MEL GIBSON - You Are Not Worthy...!, 4 Mar. 2015
Why all the MEL GIBSON player-hating? Dont hate the player; hate the game! Everybody seems to be more concerned with the harsh treatment of the Jews in this film, than with the actual artistry of the Master hisself. Nobody that watched any film about the Holocaust, ever complained about the Nazis being misrepresented! 'Oh, and I must strongly complain about the way these concentration camps are depicted. You hardly ever get to see shots of the fairground rides and ice-cream stands...' Like any criticism of the Jewish zealots of the time is anti-semitic?! No, they really did love the idea of having their power and prestige usurped by a poor carpenters son... No, and Germany didnt have any need for a scapegoat following the embarrassment of post-WWI territorial concessions... Wasnt the freedom of press and speech, one of the founding principles of a democratic society which is what we fought for? No, to criticise one group of people is always racist or bigoted. So, by that reasoning, to criticise the Nazis in any way is ALSO racist and bigoted. I mean, PURE EVIL has its rights to! Tut tut...

1.0 out of 5 stars NO MATTER HOW IMPROBABLE..., 3 Mar. 2015
As London's Premier Detective once claimed, 'Once you remove the impossible, what remains, no matter how improbable, must be true!' Any scientific (thats empirical, folks) examination of JFK's body and the entry of the bullet wounds, PROVES that MORE THAN ONE gunman must have been there that day. That includes the possibility of an extra gunman on the grassy knoll, or anywhere else where a clear kill shot was possible. It also includes the possibility of assassination by ones own government department; the CIA. The same as there remains the possibility that the CIA, or other factions of the American Government, destroyed their own Twin Towers to get the go-ahead for a war in the Middle East. There is no proof existing, or will there ever be, to confirm without a doubt, that LHO acted as a lone gunman in the killing of JFK. All we have is speculation, and a lot of idiotic, one-sided, evidence-twisting, $-fuelled books such as this one. Very un-American if you ask me, this 'Freedom of the Press'. It leads to lone nuts like this author, spewing garbage all over the place. Better to censor the printed word. Better to cover up the 'truth'... that JFK was killed by a single-gunman, acting alone. That way, at least people would believe the plain bloody obvious... That not even LHO, no matter how good of a shot he was, could suspend the Laws of Physics, and cause bullets to stop in mid-flight, turn around, and head in the opposite direction. Only Americans could be stupid enough to believe in the eternal honesty and Godliness, of their own bloody government! PAH...

5.0 out of 5 stars MORE PRICKS THAN A PIN CUSHION..., 25 Feb. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The hits than a round with Rocky. More fun that a hot-tub full of hookers. More of a blast than a Napoleonic cannon. More Seventies than a flower-print shirt and corduroy pants. More glam than Marilyn Monroe's costumes in Gentleman Prefer Blondes. More addictive than Fairground rides to a child. More 'party' than a roomful of balloon-artists. More memorable than a night in Vegas. More thriller than filler and the only album that you really need to take on an airplane flight. What high-heeled platform shoes were invented for. Fact.

5.0 out of 5 stars Its just FICTION - Its not supposed to be believable!!!, 11 Jan. 2015
This review is from: Bad Guy [DVD] [2001] (DVD)
In ANSWER to those naive reviewers who claim that FICTIONAL stories should be BELIEVABLE! Huh, okay... How about 'Gone With The Wind'?! The 2 romantic leads seem to DETEST each others' guts for 99% of the picture!!! How in the hell they stay married TOGETHER then, through the whole sick, sordid, twisted tale, is beyond human comprehension. It just is not believable at all. Still the film is probably one of the greatest ever made. Its FICTION, though. Like this title. Which is Asian-made... But still just as good. Like White people can have dysfunctional relationships, but Asians cant?! Total ethnocentricism!!! This film deserves at least 6 stars for manage to carry a film with the main male lead saying nothing for nearly an hour, alone. Just groovy, baby. RP

5.0 out of 5 stars In A Ruddy Galaxy Far, Far Away....., 8 Jan. 2015
Hmmm, great film, but how come theres no mention of the entrance theme?! Composer (Lucas) must have been of some blood-relation. The similarity to Star Wars (original) is much too much too much of a coincidence..! And it does have 'Sand-People', doesnt it now?! R

1.0 out of 5 stars TOTAL MALE WISH-FULFILLMENT, 12 Nov. 2014
This review is from: Student Services [DVD] (DVD)
...This film harks back to a previous similar British title, Personal Services, except its just total Sexploitation Fantasy with a bit of eye-candy thrown in. I cant believe people are treating this as a 'realistic' portrayal of average student life in the 21st Century. How many young girls of 18-20 years did YOU meet at college that had come from safe middle-class homes and had had more than 2-3 boyfriends in their lives? And were SEXUALLY EXPERIENCED or CONFIDENT enough to arrange to meet up with weird lonely guys on the web expecting sexual services?! Not an accurate portrayal by far. Not to mention Education being FREE in certain EU countries, with many students living at home to keep costs to a minimum. A PART-TIME job in this instance would be wholly sufficient to afford most requirements of a teenager/young adult with no family/mortgage. So, youre young and attractive to boot. Ever heard of fashion/commercial modelling? Why not try an Escort Agency - where the clients DONT expect you to actually perform sexual favours/bondage/s&m/defacating on them, huh...? Oh yes, and then there is the boring, tried and tested old staple of finding a loving, caring BOYFRIEND with a FULL-TIME JOB, who can help you out with living costs in exchange for hugs and candle-lit baths...! What utter nonsense. Maybe if the girl/female student in question was middle-aged, fat, balding, and ugly, with a mortgage, 16 kids, an absent father, no family to speak of, a $1000/day crystal-meth habit, gambling debts, a contract killer on their tale, or an addiction to purchasing rare, 16th Century artwork, THEN this film might be passable as BELIEVABLE. But then you probably wouldnt want to watch it if that was the case. Better to insert a nice piece of wan*-candy, and get some absolute suckers to claim THIS REALLY HAPPENED TO THEM/SOMEONE THEY KNEW/THEIR COLLEGE ROOMMATES FORMER BEST-FRIENDS BOYFRIENDS SISTERS OLD HIGH-SCHOOL BULLYS NEIGHBOURS DAUGHTER NEXTDOOR BUT ONE. Now, THAT, actually makes more believable copy. MR. R.A. P.

...but while there's moonlight, and music, and love and romance... Let's face the music, and dance. A very Brrritish, DVD. At least one housewife, in Croydon, will still rush to get the washing in. A good ol' cup of tea should cure your ills. It managed to defeat the Germans, SO... ...

1.0 out of 5 stars Words Fail, Literally, Part Deux..., 3 July 2014
Read the insightful Review by 'Deckard', below - hats off to the chap! This is most definitely, without comparison, candidate for Worst Book Ever Written By Man. Was it ever even meant for ADULT readers? As it seems it was written by a child. The Grammer, and sentence length, is atrocious. I mean, Cormac McCarthy used the short, punchy sentence structure for effect, but what is the effect here? Only to tell us that the main character is a simpleton! And where were the rest of the (other) characters in the story? Non-existent that's where! What is the plot/story/purpose to this book? Why was it ever even written in the first place, and passed on to publishing, except to fullfil the public need for popular, post-modern, drivel, and make a mindless nobody (and a publishing arm), some quick bucks. And, low and behold, they made it into a movie, no doubt. I didnt see that one coming! Which just goes to show it was always intended to be one of them, 'made for TV' book conversions. Its meant to be a Thriller, but i think you will find that it is just about as thrilling, as a regular, early morning trip to the lavatory. Which is probably just about where most of Mr. Childs books end up. As toilet paper, that is. Which is their chief purpose. Except they probably stink more than Andrew's quilted toilet paper. Truly, hideous, and unredemptive, writing at its best. The kind of awful, shocking drivel that makes you wanna jump right behind the back of the sofa, and scream at the top of your lungs, 'No more! Just make it stop! I promise, Lord, that I will be a good boy from now on.' Just like watching Leonardo Dicaprio bite the cold, murky, bullet, so 'artistically', in Titanic. A REAL 'Video Nasty' job that should have been placed on the Banned Books list. Or locked up in a vault beneath Mount Rushmore, in true Indiana Jones fashion. Potential, naive buyer, be the upmost aware! As the learned Reviewer, 'Deckard' would put it: "Trampled, Exocised, placed in a Viking Longboat... THEN thrown overboard, while on fire." R.

1.0 out of 5 stars JESUS WEPT, 12 April 2014
A detailed, authoritative, historical account of the State-sponsored, systematic slaughter of an entire race (of peaceful, civilised, bio-sustainable peoples) by land-hungry, Godless W.A.S.P. tax-dodging peasants (also known as 'White-Americans'; the first Nazis of their age). In fact, as you read this book, you will find where Adolf Hitler stole his ideas for the Final Solution of the Jewish race, via the 'Reservation/Death Camp' system. An appaling read, it makes you glad to have lived to witness 9/11. I think God is definitely not on their side. After fully reading and digesting the book - if you can - try comparing and contrasting it with the treatment of Black, African slaves, which were apparently 'easier' to render to domestic and agricultural function. The Devil would reward this publication his highest honour. I, however, cannot.
