5.0 out of 5 stars Great cheap and a decent bit of kit, 15 Oct. 2015

I bought these for a Canon 1000D and then used them on a 6D so they should be ompatible with any Canon DSLR. I have also used them on Canon flash, a Metz 58 and on Yongnuo 560 iis and they all work well. The triggers have never let me down and function well with all of my gear even when at quite a distance from the camera.Seeing as it uses RF and not Infra red you dont even need line of sight to trigger them so they can be hidden behind walls etc. The one disadvantage of these triggers is of course that they only work in manual and you cannot adjust the flashes from a distance.

For this reason I bought the Yongnuo 560 TX controller to go with my 560 iii flashes. But I still use these triggers (as they are also compatible with the 560 TX) to trigger my Metz after setting it up manually as a rim light etc.

The only down side I have found to these triggers is the xsync port. Seeing as the triggers can work as both trigger oon the camera's hot shoe or reciever under a flash, I expected that they would work with my film cameras. If your film camera has a hot shoe (like the Mamiya RZ Pro) then you should be able to trigger the flash. If your film camera has only the sync port, then these triggers are unsuitable as they can only be used as a receiver, not as a trigger as far as I can tell.

It would be great if they could be used on film cameras as a trigger for flashes without any adapters. The only option I can think of is to get a sync cable to hot shoe converter to then mount the trigger on.

Apparently the second version of these triggers (hence the ii) is better than the first as they have a tightening nut to hold them on the hot shoe. My only complaint about them is that the nut has deep notches in which have slightly sharp plastic edges and I have scratched myself a couple of times when tightening and loosening them.

It's a small gripe for a decent trigger that will suit all Canon DSLR users and most film camera users too, so I still heartily recommend them for their quality, price and all round usability.

This is a simple great addictive game with simple graphics and concept that can help you while away a train journey. I didn't manage to complete it as after a certain level it gets a little too difficult for me but with practice you can really get into this puzzle.

Nicely designed and pleasing and should be suitable for all ages and abilities.

4.0 out of 5 stars works with Canon 6D almost to Canono standard-vfm, 15 Oct. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This battery has been my back up for my Canon brand one almost as long as I have had my camera. I have not noticed much difference between the two batteries and am glad to say it works on a Canon 6D (unlike some other non-Canon brand ones which claim to be LP-E6 but are not up to date enough to be recognised by the 6D.

I would give this battery 5 stars as it worked for such a long time without letting me down in a range of conditions but very recently I fumbled it while taking it out of my camera and even though it only fell a relatively short distance, the fall cracked the casing. This made me a little wary of using it even though there doesnt seem to be anything wrong with it.

I bought an Ansmann to replace it but in all honest would recommend buying one of these again because of the price and general reliability.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great app all in all, 15 Oct. 2015

This app has good points and bad points. The minute forecast is great, you can add locations (and remove them easily-just long press the location) and there is a lot in a neat package. It isn't always accurate and having a minute by minute forecast of the weather is a bit OCD seeing as you should be able to do the same just by looking out of the window. However, the weather maps that update in almost real time are a great feature so you can work out whats heading your way.

I have notifications turned off but can appreciate in certain circumstances or regions they may be handy. There are a lot of other weather apps out there but this covers all my needs and is probably among the top 5 in the market place.

4.0 out of 5 stars freshens the office or home, 15 Oct. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought a couple of these for at the home and office and I honestly don't know how much good they are in an open plan environment but have used one every day and it is still working fine. The other one seemed to have a faulty usb cable and so is a back up should my main one fail. You can actually smell the ozone produced if you give it a sniff close up(I don't think you should do it too much) and it smells a little bit like chlorine. However you can also put a bit of essential oil near the filter to add a fragrance too.

It hasn't got too dirty but I clean the filter every now and again and in the office envifonment you can't hear the fan much. At home it is a little more obvious but not much worse than my PCs fan. At the price, they are worth buying but be prepared to send one back if it doesn't work as expected.

The first problem with this product was that it was not delivered until a full month after the estimated delivery date. While it may or may not be within the seller's ability to get it delivered faster, they should have a duty to provide accurate delivery times. The seller attributed the delay to a number of factors including geographical location and customs. As these factors wont change, they should be honest about the delivery date.

Moving on to the product, I ordered 2 at the same time. I already have a fan from a different seller but they sold out and tried to find a similar item for my friends to use. These fans look almost identical to the one I have but the quality is much much lower, to the point of not being fit for purpose. They were sufficiently well packaged in foam but that's where my praise ends.

The fans are cheap copies of other kung fu fans out there and won't stand up to much use. The biggest concern is the fan spines are made of thin metal with sharp edges that have not been finished well. They could cut the user easily. The spines also end in sharp corners which could cause injury. The thickness of this fan is almost half the size of my previous one giving it a very cheap and flimsy feel. It wouldn't take much to bend the spines.

The fabric is thin and flimsy and held on to the metal spines by a small amount of glue on some, and what appears to be double sided tape on others. It seems like the fabric will come apart from the metal with limited use but that is to be expected and can be mended with glue.

The axle which the spines are attached to is made of a small bolt which has been pressed on one side. Both fans have a problem that the bolt is not short enough or pressed far enough to give any resistance when opening and closing the fan - so the spines can wobble about too much which shouldn't be the case. It feels as if the bolt could break if too much force is applied. The bolt also doesn't have a washer as found on my other fan which would make the action smoother.

You could possibly use these fans for decoration somewhere they can't be inspected closely but please don't consider using them for martial arts as you will regret it.

I use it to hold a flash either on pipes or light stands and the screw head doesn't fell too strong. It works perfectly fine and would certainly recommend it to others but I wouldn't trust my favourite camera on it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great if you are into this kind of thing!, 11 Mar. 2015

This is fairly well made, comes in a pouch and attaches fine to a Canon camera. It works as advertised but the item doesnt really justify the massive price tag (RRP of 300GBP?!) - it really doesnt have that kind of quality feel to it you would expect to pay that much. I looked around and even on Amazon the price for this item varied a lot. So while 90GBP isn't cheap it felt like a better investment. As for use, I think with a DSLR you are going to want to use a lens with a shorter focal length than the one I have - 180mm doesn't feel as useable as a 90mm lens would.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but fiddly screws., 11 Mar. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is fairly sturdily made. It feels quite weighty for a cheap bit of kit. It comes in a round bag which is a nice extra and kind of essential. The thing is the front ring is held in place with two screws. they don't seem the sturdiest but the ring has supported a fairly heavy beauty dish, but I wouldnt be surprised if they suffered with anything too heavy. The other issue with the screws is for travel you need to remove them to separate the bracket to flatten it and put it in the bag. This is a bit of a pain as you need a penny or something to screw/unscrew the ring and you could lose a screw which would be a nightmare. It wouldve been nicer if setting up this product wasnt so fiddly. If you leave it on a stand all the time and dont use anything too heavy then it should be good enough for your needs.
