3.0 out of 5 stars polti steamer cloths, 24 Dec. 2011
frankly disappointed with this product. Poor performance on quarry tiled floors, leaves them soaking wet. Thought it would clean the grouting in the shower but made little difference. (in fairness have tried many products for this, but laborious scrubbing with bleach and an old toothbrush seems best (rubber gloves and goggles essential)).
Did freshen up an upholstered chair quite well.

4.0 out of 5 stars Accurate watch / Great value, 30 Oct. 2011
For under £50 this watch is a gem. Self adjusting very accurate timepiece. Only complaint there is no scratch guard available.

2.0 out of 5 stars Bosch PSM80A Sander. What a let down!, 14 Aug. 2011
Saw this sander in B&Q.
Thought, that looks like a well designed little workhorse. Purchased one on line. Initally sanded down some softwood and very quickly discovered the collection box becomes full and clogged after 5 or 6 minutes sanding (Where's mi mask!). So, as i use an extractor vacuum for other tools, (biscuit jointer, routers etc) I contacted Bosch to order the appropriate connector. Excellent. Worked a treat with the long hose.
However this did not last long . I had used the sander quite a lot and I became concerned that the two separate sanding sheets start to collide with each other on prolonged use. It makes no difference how carefully you place them on their respective plates, very soon they collide and the adhesive material on the plate crinkles and buckles, eventually starting to break down. The sheets no longer stick and you can only use one pad at at a time; The pads get worn so quickly the sander has become an expensive waste of money
I am surprised that a company of Bosch's stature has put this tool on the market without vigorous market and laboratory testing.

Don't laugh!
Very shortly after; I bought a Bosch pressure washer. Looks good on the picture, with the neat little trolley with wheels. 3 lances and a hose.
However the trolley was clearly designed for some-thing else entirely. The handle is so low it is clearly for use of very small people around 4ft 6in (1.37m) Perhaps children?(Surely not; too dangerous?). Soon developed back ache.
The three lances don't fit in the racks, the hose plastic is so stiff it is impossible to coil on the trolley.

Come on Bosch! I still use a high speed grinder of my dad's which dates back to the 1950's at least. All I have done is replace the cable and plug. Dicky Mint.

5.0 out of 5 stars supahome plastic clothes pegs, 27 April 2011
Came across these pegs in the 1980's when camping. Brilliant design, no moving parts to go wrong. Still have a few left but suffering from UV exposure.(then again so am I!)
Bought 2 bags, delighted to find them still available on Amazon.

1.0 out of 5 stars CAVEAT EMPTOR, 20 Nov. 2010
I AM SEARCHING FOR NORDIC WALKING POLES FOR MY WIFE'S CHRISTMAS PRESENT. RESEARCHING THE SUBJECT I AM AWARE THAT THESE ARE NOT ADJUSTABLE BUT HAVE TO BE ORDERED TO EQUATE WITH THE INDIVIDUALS HEIGHT.
THERE IS NO MENTION OF DIFFERENT SIZE OPTIONS ON THE SELLER'S SITE.
PROBABLY BEST TO AVOID THIS COMPANY; COULD JUST BE CASHING IN ON THE ANNUAL RETAIL FESTIVAL! (FORMERLY CALLED CHRISTMAS)

5.0 out of 5 stars Bugged by flies, 27 Jun. 2009
Nothing is more annoying than being pestered by flies on the hot summer days. A friend recommended these window stickers from Vapona - the flies are attracted to them, lick them (I'm assuming) and drop dead within a few seconds. Simply vac them up at your convenience. Previously used to be freely available at most major supermarkets but for the last few years not seen on the shelves / very hard to locate till I tried Amazon. Most stores/DIY Sheds stock the Rentokil version. So I conducted a control experiment:- A sticker of each on adjacent windows. Result after 5 days - vapona 8, rentokil 2.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pure gold. Thanks Mr Grossman, 21 Nov. 2004
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A must see for any aspiring blues guitarist. The low tech film direction in this collection of archived blues artists work is a breath of fresh air; no rapid zooming, panning and cranky camera angles from egocentric directors in evidence here. A continuous collection of clips of the artists performing, without the customary preliminary narration from a distant relative or even worse, a Braggish Blues Officionado normally used to pad out such material. It's 100% meat. No fat or grisle! You can study the right and left hand techniques of these masters of the blues in uninterrupted detail. I was particularly moved by the footage of Big Bill Broonzy, Mississippi John Hurt and Brownie McGhee. Was that Donovan I saw sitting in the background quietly tapping his feet?
The downloadable biographical material and tune details were a nice touch and I was also able to access Steffan Grossman's alternative guitar tuning and blues tablature from the same site.
Thanks Vestapol- a gem.
