A fantastic sitcom, with engaging characters and fabulous actors, I am delighted this has been released on DVD. This DVD shows the final two series of Brush Strokes, which were not released when the first boxset came out in 2004. After the passing of Lionel Bainbridge, Veronica is able to step out from his shadow and run the business and find love with a new man, while Gloria gets her man and settles with Giles in the country. The ever impressive Howard Lew Lewis takes more of a role in these series, with his pink wine bar project, flush after his dog found opals in Australia. Meanwhile the excellent Karl Howman as Jacko continues to charm his way through life. Jacko comes back from soul-searching to find his business has collapsed in his absence and so returns to Bainbridge's. He carries on where he left off in his pursuit of women, but nearly gets more than he bargained for with an Italian stone mason's daughter. He does a bit of match-making to try to make sure his nearest and dearest are happy, but without ever settling himself, until faced with a difficult decision at the show's climax.
