3.0 out of 5 stars disappointing taste, 4 Jan 2014

Machine arrived promptly, as is always the case with Amazon. Easy instructions to follow and looks nice. Prepared my first cappuccino and with great anticipation took my first mouthful, and had to spit out! It was so SWEET! Had a look at the label on the milk pod and noticed it contained 18% sugar. Why? When you order a cappuccino in a cafe it never comes sweetened? So be warned, if you don't take sugar don't buy the cappuccino pods, and probably the other milk based pods as well. Tried the espresso next, it was OK but nothing special, doesn't beat my old espresso machine in terms of taste or crema. The americano was better so I'll probably stick to that. A bit disappointed really.

Once again King Charles has produced another little masterpiece! Catchy, emotive, and just plain brilliant. The proceeds of this all go to the Mandela children's charity, yet another good reason to download!

3.0 out of 5 stars best live, 30 Sep 2013

Sounds disappointingly poppy, over production has ruined the energy innovation, and uniqueness that they have when seen live. 'Falling' still sounds pretty good though, you can't keep a good song down.

Just love this 60's infused album. Got it on permanent play in the car, can't think of a bad track, they all offer something different. Especially love 'Up from Below' which I can't stop singing. Lots of other stand out tracks though, and some sweet trumpet playing, not to mention the whistling! Buy it, you wont regret it. Best buy of 2013 so far, and only just second to Loveblood by the sublime King Charles, in terms of time spent listening to it.

Loved the first album and was eagerly awaiting the second. Having already heard a lot of the songs on it, initially at The Sage in concert, and on youtube, I was looking forward to the unheard ones. The title track Babel, did not disappoint, a throbbing, full of urgency, masterpiece. However, Holland Road is one long, miserable cheesy rhyme. I love you Marcus, but less is definitely more when it comes to rhyming. There is only so much heart, start, dark, lost, cost, rain, shame, numb and tongue etc etc that I can take before I start cringing! It makes the lines so predictable. That said, I love Lovers Eyes. Lover of the Light and Hopeless Wanderer. Finally, the version of The Boxer is stunning, it shows what a class act M&S really are. So all in all I do love the album, perhaps by the third album they will have taken a few song writing hints from Paul Simon, and King Charles. And do cheer up Marcus!

I can't praise this album enough! I can't stop playing it, its running round in my head when I go to bed and its there, still playing, when I wake up. Fantastic lyrics that avoid the obvious rhyming pitfalls of other less able song writers, and an amazingly timed delivery. He deserves to be massive. I have requested his music countless times on my local radio station but with no luck, people seem to prefer Xfactor winners! Its their loss entirely.
