Eyelevel Modena 1 Polarised Unisex Adult Sunglasses Red One Size
Eyelevel Modena 1 Polarised Unisex Adult Sunglasses Red One Size

4.0 out of 5 stars Good pair, but room for improvement, 5 Jun 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Very flimsy, the frame came bent (However, I bent it back into shape).
Note: This is made for a larger head, so might need to bend to shape.

Lens: (Category 3- Lens)
Beautiful, like the "predator" edition of "Eyelevel" sunglasses (same coloured lens as well), when the sun catches a car at a certain angle it can almost completely block the light out, but depends on the angle, sometimes it only works a little.
NOTE: *Cat 3: Can be used for driving*

For me £14.99 is VERY expensive for sunglasses of this quality in my opinion, but i'm sure others may disagree.

Overall rating- 9/10

Only two letdowns...Flimsiness and price, apart from that they are a nice pair of sunglasses, by a good company.

Flying the Big Jets
Flying the Big Jets

3.0 out of 5 stars Good solid book, although lacking depth., 5 Jun 2014

This review is from: Flying the Big Jets (Hardcover)
Don't get me wrong, Stanley is a great pilot and author, I'm no expert, and this is only my opinion (everybody's different).
I personally felt that this book was lacking substance, depth and struggled to understand what his target audience is.

The book seems to be aimed at intrigued passengers or enthusiasts, however the information (to me) seems too advance for the passenger (using aviation terms) and lacking in depth for the enthusiast. Although having said that, there is an odd thing or two that I got out of it so this comes in handy for something.

I was personally looking for more depth in the FMS/C (Flight Management Computer), calculating fuel (distance & weights), 747-400 cockpit layout and areas to be able to recreate real flights on a simulator.

As you may of seen in the "preview" of the book, he teaches you the different Instruments and principles of flight in the chapters. Note: These are well explained to a basic level and are explained in good, well presented diagrams.

- A well explained book
- Lacking depth
- Ideal for newcomers to simulation (Flying older aircraft/ steam gauged instruments)
- Great for understanding the principals of flight, navigation etc.

Sirens of the Sea
Sirens of the Sea

5.0 out of 5 stars A whole new level, 13 April 2013

This review is from: Sirens of the Sea (Audio CD)
Discovering this "Alias" group, formed by Above & Beyond and featuring the vocalist Justine Suissa was such a great thing.

This album is very unique in many ways and takes you through a musical journey like no other, with lyrics which actually have some real substance, sung by lovely songbird Justine Suissa and sounds ranging from Chillout, Trance, Ambient, through to even a touch of Progressive.

It is very hard to find great music like this nowadays though, it often takes hours, even days to find great music like this and I just love the way they have blended a mix of all these genre's into the album and made it work, even incorporating organic musical instruments into the productions as well.

From the Ambient come Acoustic beauty that is "Breaking Ties" to the classy 90's progressive trance sound of self titled "Sirens Of The Sea" and to the upbeat lovely Uplifting Trance anthem that is "On a good day" this album has a little something for everyone. And is great for relaxing to but works also for that drive home from work after a stressful day. It really refreshes and uplifts you!

Once listened to i'm sure this will be one you keep going to, It's got a wide appeal, not just to dance music fans. This is one of the few albums that I have that I can play the whole album without feeling the need to skip songs, and over all in general it's production is just top class (Even though some of the drum samples just scream "Logic Pro factory sound bank" :D

Overall production 9/10
Vocals 10/10
Artwork 8/10
Lyrics 10/10

4.0 out of 5 stars COD: MW3...Newbie Review, 25 Oct 2012
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars

I have played this on my mates Xbox 360, I loved the game as a whole, and so i thought i'd get it for the Wii (not having any HD consoles). Obviously i wan't expecting groundbreaking graphics or action scenes but...

Campaign mode is absolutely thrilling, I've only ever played COD once, that was many years ago on PS2 and didn't think too much of it, but seeing the gameplay this one had to offer I was intrested. The pace of the game is non-stop and can become VERY addictive! I'm even itching to go on it now! Battling through war zones like the streets of new york, around buildings, launching grenades and blowing things up, everything you'd expect really.

Multi-player requires an internet connection, EVEN for SOLO PLAY!!! Which i think stinks honestly!

Special Ops again, wouldn't know as it requires an internet connection to play, but from what i've seen on YouTube it looks to be excellent, same goes for the multi-player mode!

*Just a little addition...When loading the disc into the Wii, the Wii asked for 2 system updates!? I know from NHL 11 wii game did this and updated the system software, why? Who knows!?

Over all

I was very pleased at how the game tried to retain the whole graphics and (dare i say?) realness of the HD versions, the controlers at first are tricky but are easy picked up soon, yes you need the internet to access any other bits which was a dissapointment (no offline versions, like you versus the CPU/Bots). The gameplay was just awesome!

Graphics (For a Wii): Consideribly good, few screenshots lag a little (8/10)
Gameplay: Fast paced, gripping (10/10)
Weapons: A big variety of very great weapons ranging from pistols, rocket launchers etc. (9/10)
Controls: I can only comment from a classic controller point of view, once picked up it's second nature (9/10)

Over all score (9/10)

If only Si Booth's comment would of been up last week i could of saved myself good hard earned money! I was thinking this would be a wise purchase after reading all over the web how well balanced this gun is and great over all blah blah.

Looking at getting into this as a sport and progressing up to air gunning I think i should of not just jumped in at the deep end, i should of waited and visited a local arms shop and tried other BB's and this one out before hand.

Several minutes ago I did a test...

All tests were shot at abour 2-3 Meters away from target

A pepsi can- A small indentation, that's cringeworthy (2 Meters)
Coregated cardboard- Some BB's got wedged into the cardboard(2 Meters)
Thin Cardboard Box- Clear blow through one side (3 Meters)
Talc Powder (strong plastic) tub- Very light indentation (2 Meters)

Out of about 25 shots, two shots took 2 bullet when pulling the trigger?! Also it's not quite as accurate as some make out.

Really I think a lot of people only like this gun for the looks & the incredible and relistic weight of this replica glock gun.

Personally, it's alright i guess for plinking and at the end of the day for the price, what was i expecting? Really i just see it as a gloryfied toy, nothing more, nothing less.

Weight 5/5
Range 2/5
Power 3/5
Looks 4/5
Price 3/5

Just being honest.

4.0 out of 5 stars A very basic introduction to the world of "Geocaching", 29 Aug 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
As a highly experienced Geocacher myself, I highly recommend this book for the very new cachers who have only done a handful of caches and still quite haven't got the grasp. Actually to be honest this book is what you ideally need to read before exploring Geocaching as it will really amplify your experience! If you have already been caching and are after something with a little more puch, personally i'd look elswhere, but as I say this is ideal for a "newbie".

Happy Caching :)

Nintendo Wii Classic Controller (Wii)...Now making 007 Goldeneye playable! I don't know about any of you guys but i found the normal controler and nunchuck a bit fiddly to control, and spent ages adjusting the sensitivity settings and just got fed up! This makes it alot better to control not only for the 007 game but also others!

A lovely plane, other aviation enthusiasts may think i'm a little crazy, of all the aircraft in Europe, let alone the world there's something nice about
the dash 8 and the simple but effective livery. Good ol' British European.

The Amazon "Toy Rating" section is not needed really as this isn't a toy!

One last thought....No undercarrage!!! For around £20 odd plus, surely the could spare another mm of plastic? Anyway other than that, I LOVE IT!

First off if your SERIOUS about Air Traffic Control and you want a simulation rather than a game, go and look at the 'london Control' simulator. This has a good and fun look and is great for introduction of ATC simulation so is a great steppingstone for those who don't fully understand the princibles, codes and callsigns.

This "game" will teach you the basics and so get it if you are interested in begining. This boxed version contains aircraft/airlines that are NOT real, so don't expect to be calling any "easy" or "speedbird" on your screen, however! An addional add-on can be brought to allow you to change all that. Also a novel piece of eye candy for you is the fact that you can change the aircraft liveries.

So that's about all the advice i can offer, happy controlling.

1.0 out of 5 stars Dissapointed...thoroughly..., 2 May 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I brought this as a bit of a blind-buy, i had seen no footage available or had heard of any reviews about this DVD.

One the sound quality is rubbish and sounds like something recorded in the early 90's (maybe i got a bad copy from the seller?)

If your looking for some cockpit action and are a real aircraft enthusiast you will be shocked, scenes are cut. So one minute your slowly climbimg off the tarmac at Birmingham and then you are above the clouds. each segment of flight is cut down.

The first several chapters are the boses and owners talking on and on about the "company as a whole"

And finally the most shocking this.....NO GROUND SHOTS...I know this would of been hard to do, especially if they had a rushed filming schedule etc but VERY DISSAPOINTED.

3/10: If you want a novelty DVD that included minutes of Air Hostesses pouring out drink making it look like a Tv Commercial, then you'll be ok. Or if your more interested about their operations this is definately for you. But if you are a passionate aviation enthusiast who is looking for a fully featured cockpit flight you will be bitterly dissapointed!
