This review is from: Gelert Solo One Man Tent (Sports)
I lived in this tent for over 6 months, packing away every day and putting back up at night.A few mad tips! 1: When i buy a tent i set it up over and over until i can pitch it blind folded and drunk(WCS)from standing to sleeping 3.5min,then you know you will never have a pitch problem. 2:Let superglue seep into the ends of the fibre rods but make sure it doesn't touch the elastic, this prevents the ends from splitting (this only happens after major use). When you pack it away keep the open bag zip on the left, place the folded outer in first then the folded inner, then the rods, this not only makes it easier to open/close the bag it also makes it much easier to take the parts out in order of use.buy a news paper and keep it in the tent because the only water problem you will have is on the inside from breathing out,it has a vent but without two ends open and in such a small space a news paper is a much better option,it absorbs moisture all night and in the morning you wipe the inside dry before packing, also good for 1001 things. After a week i stopped using the cords and never had a problem. On a suny day i would advise wiping it down all over with a sponge and water to prevent pests eating holes(it happens)
If you plan on carrying a tent every day when size and weight is an issue then the nearest thing to this is over £400 I,ve tried Q pitch, ultra light and many in between, this tent is the smallest thing out there ideal for stealth traveling
