that's not a comment on the music but to all the whingers saying its not pixies without kim.being old enough to have first heard river Euphrates on peel and being instantly hooked I for one am still excited by new pixies music.time will tell if these songs go on to become favourites but give them a chance f.f.s .after a few listens they blend in quite nicely with the back catalogue .personal fave is Magdalena

i can keep this review short and sweet.the king blues are one of the finest bands around at the moment and every song on here stands up to repeated listening.i could go on and on about the merits of each track but if you are reading this you must have an interest in this sort of music.stop reading and start listening.i would also highly recommend punk and poetry, another 5 star effort.

3.0 out of 5 stars sublime lite, 23 July 2011
This review is from: Yours Truly (Audio CD)
of course this cannot really be compared to sublime but given a few listens it is not a bad effort.there are some good songs and it would seem perfect for a sunny afternoon but some songs are a bit samey and the lyrics lack any a big sublime fan i am not going to slate bud and eric and rome does a decent job but for music with a bit more more heart and attitude i would reccomend two great english bands the skints or the king blues

after the untimely death of lead singer malcolm owen it seemed the ruts were no more.however they decided to continue as ruts dc and made two relatively ignored albums.the first being the underrated animal now, punk/new wave with a dash of reggae thrown in, and rhythm collision ,a hit and miss dub collection.whatever we do features as an instrumental but this version has the full vocal.there is also a
dub version(whatever we dub)and in my opinion is the last great ruts song .for anyone who likes the ruts or dub/reggae and have not heard this give it a go you wont be disappointed.
