4.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for fancy dress, 23 Sep 2014

I bought these for a fancy dress party in which I play an Ice Queen. They look exactly as I wanted; shiny and metalic. They fit perfectly too, and are very comfortable. Only problem is they make my legs slightly sweaty after wearing them for a while!

2.0 out of 5 stars Not cut out for use with an iron, 23 Sep 2014
This was advertised as iron-on transfer paper, but when I received it, the instructions were all to do with a heat press, which I don't own! I tried to follow the instructions as best I could, but the paper was very hard to peel off, and the transfer came out patchy and with bits of paper still stuck to it that I just can't remove. Oh, and the first sheet I tried to print got stuck in my printer mechanism (the back sheet came off). However, I could see that it might be effective if the instructions were a bit more specific for irons.

4.0 out of 5 stars Cheap and cheerful but does the job, 3 Jun 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Considering this necklace and pendant is, well, cheap as chips, it's perhaps surprising how classy it looks. The colour is really striking, and the size is delicate but intricate at the same time. I've only worn it once so I can't say how long it will last me, but even if I only get two or three wears out of it I will have made my money's worth. A good buy if you're going for something that looks more expensive than it is.

Decade in the Sun: Best of Stereophonics
Decade in the Sun: Best of Stereophonics
Price: £3.00

4.0 out of 5 stars A brilliant collection, 3 Jun 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This collection of hits is great for people who, like me, very much enjoyed the music of the Stereophonics back in the late 90s/early 2000s, but didn't really purchase much of their oeuvre. Listening to the CD reminds you of just how much of it you can remember and sing along to, even if you hadn't recognised the titles when you read the track listing! From the stomping Bartender and the Thief to the sumptuous Handbags and Gladrags, there are very few songs that don't get you instantly swaying or tapping your feet. And, certainly in my case, being reminiscent about your teenage years! A great collection from some excellent, and often underrated, musicians. Well done guys.

Amaryllis Hippeastrum Star Of Holland Red/White Ex Large Bulb 36/38 Indoor Plant
Amaryllis Hippeastrum Star Of Holland Red/White Ex Large Bulb 36/38 Indoor Plant

3.0 out of 5 stars Slow grower, 3 Jun 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The bulb arrived quickly, well packaged and in good condition, but the bulb itself was much bigger than I anticipated and barely fits into the pot I had for it! It's started to grow but so far it's being quite slow, and there are no flowers yet. Perhaps it'll look amazing later on in the year, but at the moment it's slightly disappointing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun to play with friends, 28 Jan 2013

A bundle of the classic old Worms games on a new platform; ideal if you're a fan of the original games, and fun to learn if you're new to it. A game of strategy, surrealism and downright cartoonish violence... great for kids and adults alike!

5.0 out of 5 stars A great accompaniment to the main soundtrack, 4 Jan 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
If you've got the DVD of Doctor Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog, you'll know that one of the commentary tracks is a musical one. A novel idea and brilliantly executed by the production team. Just don't get the soundtrack before you've watched the commentary; it'll ruin some of the jokes.

This review is from: Rashida (MP3 Download)
Out of the Game sees Rufus Wainwright back with a bang, and, some would say, with his best and most accessible album ever. This free giveaway of "Rashida" is a great example of the style, lyrical content and just sheer quality of what to expect from the rest of the album. If you're umming and ahing whether or not to purchase the full thing, then maybe this taster will help you make your mind up.

5.0 out of 5 stars "Devil Of Winterbourne Review, 18 Aug 2001
Despite its limited budget and rather clichéd special effects, Mark Gatiss' "Devil of Winterbourne" is written in such a way that the twists and turns of the story keep the viewers on the edge of their sets without the need for a sudden blast of Psycho-esque music or an almost unnecessary attention-grabbing movement of an object previously thought to be inanimate which is normal to specimens of this genre. The impossible-to-predict story line creates the sense of tension necessary to as sci-fi film, and it is so strong that it makes life easy for the actors. Although in some cases the acting is far from perfect, the fine portrayals of several both major and minor characters (namely Reece Shearsmith, Peter Davison and Gatiss himself) are detailed enough to ensure "Devil"'s capacity to betaken seriously by hard-core sci-fi fans and the general viewing public alike. In the context of Gatiss' more well-known role as a member of BBC2's "The League of Gentlemen", "Devil" accurately conveys his versatility and ability to write in a variety of different styles, although his evident love of horror which is at the forefront of "Devil" (and indeed the rest of the P.R.O.B.E. series) has obvious influences in his comedy work. The restricted setting for "Devil" (only the Winterbourne school and occassionally the house of Liz Shaw are shown) does not, in fact, limit the credibility of the film, but successfully increases the atmosphere of intensity, drawing the audience further into the world of Andrew Powell and co. Although shorter than an average film (running time approximately 1hr 15mins), the detailed plot denies any accusations of corner-cutting on the part of actor or director. The unpredictable ending which simultaneously rounds off the story and mysteriously leaves it open for further investigation leads effectively onto Gatiss' next effort and direct continuation, "Ghosts of Winterbourne". Overall, a fantastic use of minimised resources by all involved.
