Danny 2.3 - Road Movie Stone, Chancery ( Author ) Feb-17-2012 Paperback

Edition: Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars DANNY The Road Movie Expect More Perfection, 17 Dec 2013
DANNY The Road Movie, the forth book in the series, is exactly what it says on the tin, an exhilarating ride through the UK and more importantly a ride through Jackson Moore history. Each book so far has given us an entirely different genre of writing with the main story remaining intact through out, it really is a fete of absolute genius. Anyone who has not had the pleasure of these book is missing out, and should purchase book one without a moments delay.

As for book 4, it is such a thrill ride, it's fast paced and enthralling, fully packed with police hunts, violence, deceit and the always present potent DANNY sexuality, there really is no other book series to rival it in that aspect. When a new DANNY arrives (after the hysterical screaming dies down) I know it's always going to be a hot one, and here we are not disappointed.

As for the family matter, for those who have read the rest of the series, you wanted answers? Well here they are, by the bucket load. But as it should be there is no correct answer and there are no two the same. All family members voices are present and correct, whether in the flesh or from beyond the grave, and sometimes it's the dead that shout the loudest.

I really don't want to give too much away as the twists and turns and unpredictability of the DANNY series is one of it's greatest aspects. I will just say, if you are already on the DANNY bandwagon Road Movie is the same sort of perfection we have come to expect and more, more excitement, more sex and most importantly we get more information on the most intriguing bunch of people that have ever been in print. If you are a new comer you are in for one hell of a ride, and I am so jealous that you get to discover this amazing series from the start. It really is the best set of books ever written.

This is my favourite book of all time, when it comes to recommending DANNY I can't possibly word how amazing it is. The book is the first instalment of many to come in the series and is such an enjoyable read that it should be compulsory.
The book surrounds a farming family, where sex, murder, incest and violence are frequent occurrences. Ian the middle brother, the runt of a family surrounded by lust, fear and lies, the one everyone ignores but quite possibly the very person they shouldn't take their eyes off, perceptions can be deceiving. John, the eldest, whose inexhaustible levels of love and hate lead him and everyone around him to despair and ecstasy in equal measure, the centre of a destructive dysfunctional world that's so addictive it should carry a written warning. Then we have Danny the supernaturally beautiful, irresistible, youngest brother of the three, the boy that everyone wants and he's not one to refuse an offer, but which is the one he couldn't refuse if he tried.
DANNY is daring, sexy, emotional, taboo bursting, addictive, irreplaceable, genuinely original, obsessively readable, passionate, it has no equal and I cannot recommend it enough.
Read it now and experience the inescapable world of DANNY.
(Then read DANNY Volume 2 The Revenant, the only book that can possibly approach it)

5.0 out of 5 stars The New Testament, 17 Dec 2013
The second installment to the greatest story ever told, DANNY 2, The Revenant, has arrived. The finest written characters in literature are back, and they're as good as they ever have been.

As the characters (and readers) are still reeling from the events in book 1, each character has continued in their own private lives - some more surprisingly than others. However, much as they may think they have grown, when they come back together the spell is cast again.

Book 2 can be seen from two very different angles, hence the two covers, and both are completely accurate at the same time. Danny's return is like a fox rampaging through a house full of chickens. Danny finds his admirers again, along with some new ones, lures them in and enslaves them but, as always, he's setting them up for the kill. Even though they know they're playing with a huge ball of fire, they just can't resist Danny's own special brand of magic. It's the readers' job to work out what's actually going on - as it always is. We get the chance to play pyschological detective again.

However, at the same time, in book 2, Danny is walking the world with his guts hanging out while the vultures circle him, waiting to swoop when he falls. This may not sound appealing, but imagine the sexiest walking dead, with the most attractive vultures around, and the devouring is indeed a metaphor for what they'll do when they get their hands on him.

As in DANNY 1, we see personal strength of psychotic proportions, personal survival above all else, and the reader delves ever deeper into the characters' past, unveiling some new mysteries, appearing to conclude others and concreting some assumptions made in book 1.

When talking about the DANNY series, you can't help but be visceral - the book is too raw and honest to receive any less a reaction. The same terms come to mind: see, taste, smell, feel. No-one just reads DANNY, you live it, and book 2 is no different. When you open the book, you enter their world, your surroundings fade away. It's the ultimate in escapism. Engrossing isn't the word for it - there are no words for it. After reading the first book, the DANNY world is a necessity, so get yourself a ticket to the return of the greatest show in town. As for the big twist (actually the author described it best - the big shiny present), you'd better glue your socks on.
