3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, 28 Jun 2014

With the premise of solving your own murder in ghost form, you'd think the game would be really interesting with original and entertaining gameplay. I sadly did not find this to be the case.

As a spectre, detective work has been both limiting (as you can no longer physically interact with anything) and advantageous (as paranormal abilities can be used to read minds or to possess). Unfortunately it felt like this area was glanced over as the abilities become repetitive very fast and seem almost pointless at times. The idea of possessing a human and making them act up sounds interesting, but the extent of your possession allows you to merely read their thoughts (which usually consist of two lines of boring dialogue) or to look through their eyes... Which is kinda weird and unnecessary.

The story however seemed compelling but the gameplay, scenery and atmosphere was so dull it was hard to find a reason to continue.

Of course this is merely an opinion and if you think you can overlook certain things and do enjoy a detective story with a twist then you could enjoy this game.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sam and Max, 16 Jan 2013

I was first introduced to this series by my friend and I'm glad for the recommendation. The series is delightfully funny and entertaining with "the devil's playhouse" being one of their best games yet. If you enjoyed Monkey Island then this is certainly a game you will love, if your a fan of games that are funny and don't take themselves too seriously then this is for you. Also there's a dog in a suit and a fluffy bunny with psychic powers, what more do you want haha.

Christina Aguilera has always been one of my favourite artists and so It came as no surprise to me that I loved this album. It didn't do as well as initially thought, but it certainly should have with many uptempo and powerful songs such as: make the world move; let there be love; blank page and best of me, being some of my personal favourites off the album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Charlize Theron at her best, 16 Jan 2013

A well deserved oscar for Charlize Theron in her critically acclaimed film "monster". The film provides an interesting account into infamous female serial killer aileen wuornos. Charlize Theron provides an amazing acting performance, with her looking the part and talking the part to a tee. I would definitely recommend this film to anyone who enjoys watching movies that encompass powerful acting performances with an interesting story and indeed have to my friends.

It's nice to know the Red Dwarf gang have still got it, with a great collection of episodes and on Blu-ray so you can see everyone's wrinkles in HD, haha. Sometimes a joke or two will miss but the majority of episodes are still on par with the older series, if not better.

3.0 out of 5 stars yet another... mediocre episode, 12 April 2009
I'm sorry to write a review slating the newest episode of doctor but this easily of been beter, yes I understand the ickle kiddies own doctor who now and so the scariest we can give them is some fly mask with a janitor costume which reminded me of the fly film... in the 1950's. The cgi i'm afraid was rather unconvincing. The acting was also not up to scratch as I believe one guy on there upon discovering he was on another planet merely said "oh we're on another world", it's not like finding a quid in a pair of your old jeans - being on another world is actually rather shocking althought obviously no-one told them that in acting school. However on a positive note the temporary assistant and the doctor worked together and I thought her acting and general attitude was performed and shown brilliantly. I also loved the ending and the cliffhanger... ooooo chilling lol

oh btw I'm not a writer of Babylon File as someone thought I was last time lol i'm a 17 year old boy

5.0 out of 5 stars It's like they never left, 21 Mar 2009
after a huge absense on t.v. they were back on form with this entirely new episode from the wallace and gromit series. Although it had a somewhat more sinister undertone compared to the others - it didn't hinder the episodes constant barrage of hilarity. Another great thing about wallace and gromit is nick park and peter lords original and fresh ideas: for example in each short/long film they starred in, they had different jobs each time like wash 'n' go window cleaners, anti-pesto and now as bakers. along with each new fresh occupation comes an entirely new story seemlessly slotting in hilarious cultural references, puns, and comical situations. The only thing I'd say is it is quite short for it to be standing alone on a dvd, however if you don't get it you miss out greatly

= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Mirror's Edge (PS3) (Video Game)
After playing the ps3 demo i was completely lost, so many controlls using so many buttons I thought I'd never learn but when you do it's worth it, you can do so many things it makes you stop and think "wow did i just do that". The baddies coming to chase you is done really well, it makes you panic and feel tense during it like your really there. For those who (like me) find games annoying when you don't know where to go and you give up - that won't happen here, with the runner vision (which you can optionally change) you can see where to go when stuck. However it's not perfect It's far too short with only 7 chapters (i think) although all of them are action packed it leaves you wanting more.

all in all, I reccomend you get the game - if not buy it at least download the demo, its certainly a unique game any player can proudly place in his collection

3.0 out of 5 stars mediocre, 3 Jan 2009
Kinda dissapointing, the new doctor who episodes are supposed to grab us and take us on an endless climatic roller coaster, but this was just average. The cybermen were back... again. notice the use of exact same costumes - they were too lazy to re-design them but at least they gave a pathetic reason. Also as some people on here have said the fluffy cybermen things are very archaic and laughable. However david tennents charm and loveability bring the episode back up to average - too bad he's leaving soon. Lets hope the new doctor will live up to his standards or maybe stephen moffat can write better than russel T. Davis (god knows most people can _)
