Refused to be recognised by the printer. Complete waste of money and time.

3.0 out of 5 stars Unbeatable convenience - but not the best quality results, 5 May 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
For sheer convenience of scanning negatives or slides - fantastic. However, if you still have the original photos then scanning those will give you better results (although it would be a real pain of a task). The colours of these scans looks very old, faded and hued, and even at the 10Meg resolution they look rather low-res. But for ease of use and speed of delivery - fantastic. Worth every penny of its price, but you can see why other scanners cost so much more.

4.0 out of 5 stars Typically solid HP quality, 11 Jun. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought this for my in-laws as I deal with their PC issues remotely (200 miles remotely) and I didn't wan to have to deal with printer problems as well. Thanks to this printer, six months later there has not been a single issue.
My only reason for giving four and not five stars is that, as with all HP printers, genuine ink is not cheap. That aside, quality and ease of use are all spot-on.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dated - but that's the joy of it, 11 Jun. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A 1950s housing development, from a greenfield site through to the allegedly finished item - and never a word said. A beautiful little piece of English social history carefully wrapped in humour with consummate skill by all those involved (including rising stars Ronnie Barker and Bernard Cribbins). The DVD contains no extras, but then the film is its own little world - it needs nothing more.

5.0 out of 5 stars A literal litary gem., 30 April 2013

Less schools teaching grammar well? Or fewer? Thanks to the redoubtable Mr Gwynne I can now tie my wife (a teacher) in knots when it comes to grammar, so I'm having no end of fun. The most handy pink book you will ever own, its diminutive stature belies its power.
Thank you Mr Gwynne!

The Gun Seller
The Gun Seller
by Hugh Laurie
Edition: Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars If Hugh wasn't on television, would he be in Intelligence?, 24 Jan. 2001
This review is from: The Gun Seller (Paperback)
I started this book with vague hopefulness of being entertained and ended, not only able unable to put it down, but also unable to stop reading it - it's been read cover to cover several times now, and each time I have found some other detail previously missed. I have also been left with the vaugely uneasy feeling that either Hugh Laurie knows things about the previously unsuspected shady side of Military Intelligence, or knows people who do - there is a wealth of seemingly easy detail woven into the plot that might bring some people to a halt or, in my case, make me carry on with the next chapter in order to discover something else new. The descriptive prose is great, the diaglogue is great, the combined effect greater, and the ending happens in a way you couldn't previously have imagined. I must also now ski in Swizerland, visit Prague and miss Casablanca. Just to make sure the details are correct, you understand. Buy it - and then read it at least twice. Deep down, you've always known that people like these are out there... somewhere.
