great fun to read but does not have the feel of Conan Doyle. Plot runs at a comfortable speed resolution is fine.

5.0 out of 5 stars First Class Historical Information., 22 Aug 2013

What I like about this book is the way in which information about the central characters has been gathered and then presented, several sources are quoted, in most cases, and this gives a feeling that one can get inside the reasons and pressures in why a particular path was taken. Easy to read and a constant surprise and joy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book, 23 April 2012

The early part of the book containing the reasons for the way that Tom and Maggie look at the world and their place in it, is mesmerizing. What I couldn't get to grips with was why Maggie would get into the boat with Stephen without a chaperone, but then things would not have gone so pear shaped!

4.0 out of 5 stars Just The Job, 23 April 2012

Sent for this when I got fed up with my old set of lists as they were out of date and insufficient. This little book provides all the answers that you may require. One small whinge, why are capital cities listed an alphabetic and not word size order?

Although I have only had this product for just over 6 weeks it is performing well to its specification. I found it suprising how much food it dislodges when I had the impression that my teeth were clean!

5.0 out of 5 stars Full Satisfaction, 11 April 2008

After years of longing to fly a helicopter I finally gave in and bought one of these little beauties. As it says on the cover it is ready to charge up and fly as soon as you open box. Having never flown anything before and never having used remote controls I was fully expecting to smash the thing to pieces before I could get the hang of it. Yes, I did crash a lot of times and, yes, eventually I got it to fly around the room and to even land it within a yard or two of where I wanted it to land.
I am not young and my reactions are not what they should be but this is great fun for anyone who wants to control a small flying machine.
I love it to bits....
