5.0 out of 5 stars Exspect Slip Case for use with 3DS, 22 Aug. 2011
I bought this slip case for want of a slimmer option (smartphone-style) to protect my newly bought Nintendo 3DS system. It was a bit of a gamble as nothing indicated that a 3DS would fit the case. However, I'm happy to report it fits just fine! The slight difference between the 3DS and DS/DSi models dimensions doesn't make a noticeable impact.

The case itself is of good build quality, with what appears to be robust stitching along the edges of the leather outside. Inside is a sort of suede-like material (I'm not an expert however!), which ensures no scratching to the gaming system and also a smooth slide out of the case using the pull cord. Also to note is the internal card material within the broad sides of the case which give it structure and added protective quality.

So overall, a great stylish case which provides good protection for not just DS and DSi systems but also 3DS. As mentioned in other reviews, it comes with a great leather smell too! I have to admit though that I would recommend shopping around to make sure you get it for the best price.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow!, 11 Aug. 2011

Wow, once again, what a fantastic game. All I will say in this review is this: the 3D is great; the updated graphics really are substantial; the additions to help guide beginners are not at all intrusive to the hardcore players; and everything that made the original Ocarina of Time the 'Best Game Of All Time' still stands with this edition. Maybe even more so. If you own a 3DS, you owe it to yourself to see how great this game still is over a decade after is was first released.

A great show but, like every brilliant sketch show, one which is not without it's poorer sketches. Very underrated and deserves everyone's attention!

I wouldn't say this was quite as funny as his previous 'Live and Laughing' DVD, but if you are a fan of Michael McIntyre then you're sure to find laughter in most of this new material. One thing that has to be said is that some of his material at Wembley was repeat material from his other shows. But I really didn't mind this because this happens few and far between, and doesn't actually take away from the impact of any punchlines.

4.0 out of 5 stars Classic season, 23 Aug. 2009

This review is from: South Park - Season 2 [DVD] (DVD)
Season 2 is a great season filled with classic episodes which were the foundations for what an excellent show South Park is today. If you have become a fan during the more recent seasons, however, this and other earlier seasons may come across as simpler and less risque than what you might come to expect from South Park.

I think it is fair to say that in the earlier days of of the show, there was less of a focus on current affairs and celebrity mockings which we have all loved in the newer shows. More emphasis was on novel ideas early in the shows history i.e. a man making love to chickens in order to help an illiterate police officer learn how to read. Older episodes, such as those in Season 2, may not have the biting, unpolitically correct themes that people who have only seen recent seasons have no doubt grown to love.

Despite this, this is still a classic season which deserves to be watched by all fans of South Park. You can tell from this season how Trey Parker and Matt Stone (and everyone else working on the show) have honed and polished the show into the beast it is today.

4.0 out of 5 stars Something different for the Wii, 23 Aug. 2009
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
A great game that is unlike everything in your Wii games collection, except for Trauma Centre: Second Opinion of course (New Blood's predecessor). This game improves many aspects of Second Opinion and adds to it co-operative play, so you and a friend can assist each other during operations.

Although the arcade-style gameplay is largely unchanged from the last Trauma Centre game, there are enough changes and improvements for you to feel like you have got your moneys worth.

It is worth noting too that the difficulty of this game and it's predecessor can be frustrating. But with time you'll be fitting pacemakers, reconstructing bones and fighting off deadly viruses without breaking a sweat.

Buy this game if you feel you need some more variety in your games collection. Or if you want to pretend to be a surgeon.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely compelling, 23 Aug. 2009

This review is from: King Of Kong [DVD] (DVD)
I was very surprised at how interesting I found this documentary film to be, despite having a passion for videogames myself. This is a fascinating look into a fairly closed retro gaming community and the struggle of an outsider to get his world record breaking high score recognised for the arcade game 'Donkey Kong' by said governing community. It is much more interesting than it sounds!

This film reveals the apparent celebrities of the arcade gaming world, with a more in-depth look at one in particular, and the pedestals which they have been put upon by their peers. The interesting aspect of this film is how difficult an outsider realises it is to be recognised as worthy of being the 'King of Kong', in spite of proving himself time and time again. It is the reluctance of the reigning 'King' to relinquish his fame and glory which has come with being top of the pile for more than 20 years.

Overall, this is an absolutely compelling film for both people with a passion for videogames and casual viewers alike, and for such a cheap price tag here on, it deserves your attention. The best documentary I have seen in some time.

5.0 out of 5 stars The definitive Anchorman box set, 23 Aug. 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Overall this is a very good deal, with a substantial number of extra features which are both funny and interesting (in that Will Ferrel way).
If you are a big fan of 'Anchorman', then you will no doubt like 'Wake Up, Ron Burgundy - The Lost Movie', although I wouldn't say that it's as funny or memorable as the original. It serves best as a companion film for more devote fans of the original. Therefore, if you already own 'Anchorman' on DVD I don't think it is strictly necessary to purchase this. I would give 4 stars to this for people who already own 'Anchorman'.
However, if you are yet to own any versions on DVD, then this is the definitive collection of everything Ron Burgundy, and so you have to buy it!

Ratatouille - Limited Edition With Fridge Magnets (Exclusive to [DVD]
Ratatouille - Limited Edition With Fridge Magnets (Exclusive to [DVD]
Dvd ~ Brad Garrett

5.0 out of 5 stars A truly great film, 25 Feb. 2008
An all-round brilliant film. If you have ever seen any previous pixar films, then you will surely enjoy this. Brad Bird directed this animated tale, which has the same visual flare as The Incredibles (his previous pixar film). I actually found it to be less aimed at kids than the last pixar film; Cars, so it is as enjoyable for parents as it is for toddlers (which, for me, is Pixar's trademark).
In addition, Ratatouille has just won an Oscar for Best Animated Feature, which just goes to show the calibre of this film.
