I enjoyed reading this book but found that the middle of the story tailed off a bit with the story of why the father of the children would not let his wife have access to his children being repeated over and over again, when this occurred I found myself skipping pages as I was bored with hearing the same thing over and over again, it did pick up again and the end was a bit emotional but predictable.

This book is more of a short read, as I read it in an afternoon. Janine is a teenager that was kidnapped aged three whilst shopping with her mother, brothers and sister. Aged 15 Janine sees a picture of herself as a small child on the side of a milk carton with caption of have you seen this child, Janine is then torn between two sets of parents not knowing who she should live and stay loyal too, at a time of emotional change in her teenage years. The first half of this story was in a separate book, called "Whatever happened to Janine" and The Voice on the Radio continued the story of her emotional growth. And coping with two separate families. Neither book took long to read but were very enjoyable.

This book started off very well as I am a big fan of Agatha Christie, but it had ended soon after it was started. Far too short even for a short novel, as I had read it in ten minutes flat and had guessed the ending, . Definitely not one of her best!
