5.0 out of 5 stars English Southern Genius, 6 Nov 2009
The Haines does it again.

More instant classics from the country's finest songwriter.

Try to catch him live this November.

Be warned that the "Bonus" CD, Achtung Mutha is weird to say the least (think Velvet Underground's "The Gift" meets the UK art scene)

A great book for political cynics like myself.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gammons out of hospital, 18 July 2006
Peter Gammons was released from hospital yesterday and is now in a rehabilitation centre.

Hopefully it won't be too long before he's back on the baseball reporting beat.

If his music is only half as good as his writing, this CD should be great.

5.0 out of 5 stars KMFDM doin' it again ?, 12 Oct 2003
This review is from: Wwiii (Audio CD)
Everyone who listens to nu-metal or rap-metal music should give thanks for Sascha and the rest of the freaks who've made up KMFDM over the years. These guys were the originators and are still the best.
Always consistant without being predictable WWIII provides no surprises (listen to the lyrics of "Intro" and the band tell you as much).
"Stars & Stripes" and "Revenge" are my picks as the best tracks on the album. The former is the best anti-Iraq war song I've heard so far and the latter is a classic KMFDM rocker (194 bpm no less !!)
Do yourself a favour, get this album and treat yourself to more from the masters of the "ultra heavy beat"

5.0 out of 5 stars Pardon the Interuption but ...., 23 Jun 2003
For those people who only know Tony "Satchmo" Kornheiser from PTI here's a great chance to read his take on things non-sporting. Especially entertaining is the tale of when Tony bought some shares some 25 years ago in a small electronics company. He thought the shares wouldn't go any higher so he quickly sold. The company ? ...... ever heard of Intel ????

5.0 out of 5 stars A Musical "Home Run", 15 Mar 2000
One of the world's greatest singer/songwriters at one of the world's greatest sporting venues.
In the outfield that the Babe and the Mick once patroled we're treated to a classic performance from the Piano Man.
