2.0 out of 5 stars US version sent., 10 Feb. 2015

Note there are two versions - a European version which transmits data at 6/12/18 sec intervals and a US version which transmits at 10/15/20 sec intervals. I was sent the US version (which also does not contain the software or the manual, you have to download them). I have asked for a replacement.

2.0 out of 5 stars Defective print run of paperback, 4 Mar. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I received my copy from Amazon last week and it was defective - the plates section was missing (19 plates are listed in the index). I have just received a replacement from Amazon, but it has the same problem. I phoned up the publisher and they have now told me that an entire print run was defective.

I have still to start the book, but I am looking forward to reading it, despite the missing pictures.

2.0 out of 5 stars Rehash of an earlier book, 10 Oct. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This book seems to be no more than a rehash of Michael Smith's earlier "Station X", first published in 1998 but "revised and expanded" in 2004. Nowhere is this made clear, which is far from ideal. However, if you haven't read the earlier book this is a very good read, full of fascinating anecdotes, and probably worth 4 or 5 stars. If you have read the earlier book, don't bother with this one.
