I'd never read delingpole before and so this was just a stab in the dark. Glad to say that I loved it though. Kept me amused, entertained and enthralled all the way through. But then again, who doesn't love a bit of boys own adventure war story?
I loved it so hope you do too.

It's not often I suffer lego envy, but this brought it to the fore. I mean c'mon, lego and architecture! My 6 yo had a great time putting it together and I have to admit its pretty damned cool. It's now one of his most treasured possessions and he loves it.

Portable, sturdy and keeps the clarinet safe. Can also play 'rockets' with it when not being misused as a clarinet stand!

1.0 out of 5 stars dreadful,dreadful and even worse, 30 Aug. 2011
This really is a terrible book. Badly written, naive at best and not one remotely funny or amusing story. The authors constant obsession with himself and his frankly questionable judgements and opinions of the world makes him comes across as an arse.
Avoid this book and save yourself a few hours of pain.
