5.0 out of 5 stars An absolute masterpiece, 20 Oct. 2013

Had to read this for AS English Literature.

This is an absolute masterpiece. Margaret Atwood has a superb, gripping and fascinating writing style and the story itself is such a unique and haunting plot.

Remember to read the epilogue - completely challenges and changes your outlook of the entire novel!

Overall, Atwood is an absolutely fascinating and wonderful author - definitely reading more of her.

The Fault in Our Stars
The Fault in Our Stars
by John Green
Edition: Paperback
Price: £3.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful, perfect piece of literature, 11 May 2013
This review is from: The Fault in Our Stars (Paperback)
I got this book when it first came out, before it became overly popular; not that it doesn't deserve its now largely popular recognition, but I still feel personally, proud to have followed John from the beginning, whether that be through his words on pages or via his YouTube.

This is my favourite book of all time, by far. It's raw, beautiful and emotional, metaphorical and relatable and includes such well-developed characters you'll develop a bond with, so much you'll think they're friends you know well.

If you haven't indulged in this wonderful piece of literature, you're very much missing out. This is a short review, but I have nothing more to say without giving too much away. Read this if you haven't, and be prepared for tears.

The Perks of Being a Wallflower
The Perks of Being a Wallflower
by Stephen Chbosky
Edition: Paperback
Price: £5.59

5.0 out of 5 stars A Perfect Piece of Literature, 23 Feb. 2013
Personally, for me, being someone whom adores literature and words in general; this review could be considered slightly biased. However, personally, this book is my favourite book of all time. Chbosky highlights the issues of being a teenager, tells the story in the eyes of a relatable, loveable protagonist that is Charlie, and his experiences of High School - battling and watching others, and being the 'wallflower'. Chbosky writes in an admirable, witty style. References other famous pieces of fine literature, and takes you as a reader through the eyes of Charlie, discussing his views and his thoughts on life, you as a reader being able to relate and identify heavily, hopefully.

For me, this book changed my life. Without sounding cheesy at all, this book changes your pereception and allows you to fall in love with the characters and the plot countless amounts of times, again and again. Chbosky is an admirable writer and I personally, heavily reccommend this book. It's unique with a clever writing style, portrays the issues and struggles of fitting in as a teenager, having first experiences and first loves and takes you on a trip that will stay with you long after you have turned the final page - a must read. :) Please buy it and enjoy it, just as I did.
