This is her debut but she has been writing songs for Miranda Lambert and that is good way to start a career. The album is full of great stories about religion, divorce and other characteristic themes in country music. Brandy really brings a fresh approach though. Highly recommended

This is not Lucindas most welknown album, that goes for Clay Wheels..., but one of best though. Great songs and playing. On this de luxe version there is also an extra cd with live recording that are really great and brings another depth to the songs.

5.0 out of 5 stars A real gem, 27 Feb 2014

Most people start with Anodyne which is teir most acceible album. No depression is the way to start though. It a raw mix of rock, Replacements way, and what could be named Americana in the making. A really great record.

Doug Paisley is neither country not rock but inbetween. The CD is full of melancholy but on a nice way. Great playing and great tunes.

I ahve listened to Johnny Winter a lot over the years! Especially his first couple of albums and the one he did with Rick Derringer were great! Then I somehow lost him over the years until now!! This album is a stunner! Covers of his old favs and with a lot of guests like Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks and Warren Hayes! Give it a listen and enjoy!!
