5.0 out of 5 stars This is SPECIAL!!!!!, 29 Nov. 2004
This review is from: Street's Disciple (Audio CD)
Nas is one of the greatest rappers of all time. Street's deciple is as important if not more important than Illmatic when it came back over a decade ago. I say this because hip hop is in a bit of a state at the mo with it's commercialisation - Illmatic changed the game and i hope this jerks other artists into moving back in the same direction of hiphop. This is the hip hop album of the year and one of the best albums in hip hop history (if not the best!) - honestly its that good - Its got everything - beats, lyrics, phrophecy, intelligence, crunk - the most complete hip hop album ive ever heard - JUST BUY IT - Definitive Album - Nas is currently the king!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars back to their best!!!!, 4 Dec. 2001
This review is from: Stoned Raiders (Audio CD)
this album is brilliant. Ive been a cypress hill fan since i heard black sunday for the first time. I loved that album and it still sounds just as good now. The hills first album 'cypress hill' was excellent too. My favourite album from the hill was then Temples of Boom. However since then ive been quite disappointed with Cypress Hill 4 and Skull and Bones, tho Unrelesed and Revamped and Live at the Fillmore were good cds.
This cd sees Cypress Hill come with a different sound to any previous albums. They have made a few rock tracks - continuing the trend with Skull and Bones, but the difference is that these rock songs are really good. They have tight raps and sen dog does a good job singing some decent lyrics. The rest of the album takes on a west coast, g'funk rap/rock feel. If you didn't really like skull and bones, this cd will restore your faith in the hill. B-Real is a great rapper and additional stuff from kokane and kurupt and mc ren make this album have a real 'west coast' feel. The two songs with kurupt are brilliant (here is something you cant understand and kronologic - which is a really clever song - get the album and you will see what i mean) the track with redman and method man is brilliant too. Infact every song on this album deserves at least 4 stars (out of 5). The bonus track at the ends a bit dodgy, but that doesn't really count. Lowrider is so addictive, it aint easy has an increadible beat and catastrophe (one of the rock songs) sounds really, really good. Get this CD. One of the best CDs of 2001.
